Logan walks inside the dance studio with his daughter, holding her hand and sits down in his seat. He sees mothers there and ignores their looks, rolling his eyes at their comments.
“Maybe the mother is busy? It’s still weird to see a man here.”
“My husband would never do that.”
“It’s so weird. I don’t think I would allow my son to wear that.”
“My husband would freak out if I made him do this.”
“Then your husband’s aren’t real men,” Logan snaps at them and looks over, seeing them all look at him with wide eyes, “They’re weak willed men who are fragile of their own masculinity. I would hope your sons don’t get the same traits from them, but from your words, it seems like you are at fault. Now, please stay out of my life and focus on your own.”
With a final glare, they all turned around and started whispering. Logan sighs and shakes his head, fixing his glasses and smiles at his young daughter, who ran up to her.
“Dad! We’re all ready! You’re still doing it, right?” She asks with excitement, her eyes holding hope.
“Of course I am. I promised you that I would, and I do keep them,” Logan smiles down at her and kisses her head, “But I still think the blue tutu would’ve been better on me.”
“No! Pink will always be better!” She giggles and holds onto his hand and uses her force to drag him to the dance floor.
Logan rolls his eyes fondly and stands up, following her to where the other mothers were with their own daughters. He stood behind her the whole class, following the too easy step sequences, laughing as his daughter would tell him he’s doing it wrong.
Logan was a single father, the mother having passed away after her birth. He didn’t know much, but with the help of a few good friends he soon got the hang of it. She soon got into ballet and Logan signed her up for the lessons, and there was a day for mothers to be with their kids during the lessons. When she brought it up, Logan called a day off of work and promised to be there.
Though many would say he’s a cold, rough, stoic man, they’ve clearly haven’t seen him with his daughter.
