Wayne tries. He really does. But when there's three people who you can count on as adults and three grown children, there's not much you can do.

Like try to drag Davy and Donny back from a window because they were drunk and wanted to fly. Or sitting with Johnny as he waited for his back pain to subside.

Sometimes it was better. Jimmy would take new boyfriends to dinner with him and Nick for 'Parental approval' which Wayne approved of.

Wayne mostly questioned himself when he was making family dinners and the gang was all being rowdy in front of the TV with 12 neighborhood kids. He felt like he had three of his own.

But in the end, it was worth it when he saw them make good choices.
