Last time I sent an ask about something special awhile back i was on anon bc I was too shy but fuck it we’re all in the rpf trenches, might as well just go mask off about it so hello!
I think you mentioned at some point that you plan for the au to continue to the present day and so recently every time i see gifs or clips from nycc 2025 all i can think about is the eventual something special remix of that whole series of events because oh my god little assad getting to be daddy for a minute he’s gonna be so cheeky about it
Anyway that thought has been bringing me joy for a hot minute now so figured I’d share lol
hiiiii!! Lovely to have you! Ahh I’m also excited for the nycc 2025 events 😍 little Assad is gonna be such a cheeky boy about being daddy, he’ll try to hold it over Eric as much as he can ;)
i bet he’ll be like “i’m daddy so I say we can go out for dinner tonight”! and Eric lets him have his fun they have dinner and order yummy ice cream for dessert and then Eric says “ok then daddy pays” and Assad goes 🥺 bats his cute little eyes and of course Eric taps his card because they have a twisted little findom situation which i enjoy greatly 😌
Here's a small Heath and Eric update. While on vacation in Mt. Komorebi, they were invited to a Spooky Day party and went dressed as the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin. 🎃🍬
(Sadly, the Batman costume makes Eric's teeth black, and I don't know how to fix it.)
Eric Dier was made to be a father, the way he is patient and still relaxed after a night with no sleep and the twins taking turns crying. He knows how to deal with the kids when they're being naughty, how to bargain when they don't want to eat their veggies. And him being such a good father and husband brought you five kids and counting, definitely his own little football team but you wouldn't have it any other way
He was honestly the definition of a perfect dad, always managing to be so calm around the kids, even when they’re tearing each other’s hair out and refusing to eat their vegetables, somehow still managing to function after a night with about four minutes sleep thanks to your newborn twins who decided that it was much more fun to cry all night than sleep like everybody else, always giving your babies an equal amount of attention so that they never feel left out or second best to their siblings, and you couldn’t be more grateful for him if you tried, knowing that you’d never survive all of the drama that came alongside having five babies on your own, but with Eric by your side, anything seemed possible
You always tried to take your little girl to Eric’s matches as often as you could. Your heart never failing to burst at how adorable she looked in her oversized shirt with ‘Baby Dier 15’ on the back, her tiny body getting lost in all of the excess material as she runs around cheering Daddy on. But today you couldn’t make it, your little girl waking up with a poorly tummy and not wanting to do anything other than cuddle you and watch Charlie and Lola on the sofa, something you secretly loved because nobody gave better sleepy snuggles than Elle, and it was nice to just spend some mummy-daughter time together, even if she was feeling very sorry for herself.
“Mummy, I hurt” she blubs as you carry her down the stairs, your heart shattering into a million little pieces at her words as you rub her back and brush her curls out of her face. Almost sharing the tears with her when you sit her down on the sofa, her tiny body flopping to one side as you prop her up with several pillows, her head hanging over a sick bowl and her bottom lip sticking right out as she rubs her eyes and cuddles into Mr Ted - her very well loved teddy whose leg had almost fallen off from where she’d cling onto it every night, and who could really do with a good wash, but that always proved to be very difficult, Elle refusing to let him go in the washing machine unless she went in too, something you had to make her understand was not a good idea.
“Mummy cuddle me” she whines as she sticks her arms out in your direction, her lack of strength eventually making them flop back down onto the blanket. Squishing yourself into the tiniest little gap beside her as your arms wrap around her waist, Mr Ted having to get in on the action too as you hold onto his very grubby hand, your baby girl clinging onto the other before her eyes are becoming heavy with sleep and she dozes off.
Deciding to put Eric’s match on the TV so he couldn’t accuse you of not supporting him, hoping that it would cheer Elle up when she woke up from her nap, but she couldn’t quite wrap her head around the fact that Daddy was in one place, and she was in another, yet she could still see him on the screen.
“Why’s Daddy on the telly?” she asks once she finally wakes up properly, the cameraman zooming in on Eric as you watch her little eyebrows furrow together.
“He’s playing his match, baby, look” you say as you point towards the screen, the camera angle changing to show the whole stadium as you notice her face light up, recognising exactly where it was and what all of the fans were doing there as she claps her hands. Launching herself off the sofa and heading towards the TV so she could get a better look, waving her little chubby hands whenever Daddy appeared on the screen, not really understanding why he couldn’t see her or why he wasn’t saying ‘hello’ back, but the thought of Daddy being ‘inside the telly’ was enough to distract her from her tummy ache.
“Mummy look!” she giggles as you film her reaction, the thought of feeling sick completely forgotten about as she bounces around whenever the camera pans to Eric. Not being able to contain her excitement when she thinks about telling him how she’d been watching him on the big TV screen when he gets back, pleading with you to let her stay at home for every match now, something you didn’t think Daddy would be too impressed about, but if she carried on giving him the same reaction each time that he was on the telly, then it was definitely worth Eric’s huffing and puffing.
Imagine: Eric having to take care of your child and he takes her to work with him!
Y/D/N= Your daughter’s name
“Eric! Wake up,” You say shaking your husband, who lies asleep in bed, he finally cracks one of his eyes open, and groans, “Eric, I got an emergency phone call, I have to go to work today! You’ll have to take care of Y/D/N!”
“What?!” He instantly shoots out of bed, you usually work in the evenings, so you can take care of your 1 year-old daughter, while Eric works, and he takes care of her while you work. But due to an important emergency you had to take the day shift today. Eric rubs his eyes, “Y/N, how am I supposed to take care of Y/D/N, I have to train initiates today?!”
“Well I can’t take her to the infirmary, and you’re a leader you can take a day off if you want!”
“Not during initiation! Can’t we just get a babysitter for her for the day?”
“Not at such short notice, and do you know how hard it to find a babysitter for your daughter?!” You say pointing at his chest, “Now do something! I have to go, now!”
He groans, “Fine, you go, I’ll figure it out!”
“Yay! Thanks babe, you’re the best, I’ll see you after work!” You lean up and kiss him, before rushing out the door.
Eric’s POV
Shit, what the hell do I do now? I make my way to Y/D/N’s room and pick her up out of her crib, she’s already wide awake, “Hi baby. Did you sleep well?”
“Dada, dada!” She says cheerfully.
“How do you manage to be so happy in the morning,” I ask absentmindedly as I carry her out of her room, for breakfast.
After feeding her, I carry her into mine and Y/N’s room, I change her clothes, and let her play on the bed as I change my own clothes. Once I’m finally ready for work, I sit next to Y/D/N, “Now, what do I do with you Y/D/N? Where do you want to go while I work?”
“Dada!” She points at me.
“Baby, I can’t stay with you, I need to take you somewhere, if I don’t mommy will kill me,” I groan, “Hey, what if I take you to uncle Peter’s house?”
“No! Joo dada!” She says in her adorable little voice.
“Do you want me to take you to training?” She nods cheerfully. I’m getting late and I know Y/N will kill me for taking her to training, but I have no other choice.
I pick Y/D/N up and carry her all the way to the training room.
Every single initiate turns to stare at me, the big bad Eric with a baby, even Four looks confused. I glare and they get back to training. I place Y/D/N off in the side of the training room with a few of her toys. I pat her on the head, “Daddy’s gonna go twain the initiates now, you pway here fo a while okay baby?”
She smiles her toothless smile, and I give her a quick kiss on the forehead, and go to yell at some initiates.
I’m adjusting an ex-Candor boy’s stance as he punches at a bag, when I feel a tug at the bottom of my jeans, I look down and see Y/D/N. The boy and a few other initiates also look down at her and smile, “Babygirl, what are you doing here? I told to play over there.”
The initiates are surprised by my baby talk, but I focus on Y/D/N, she looks up at me with big eyes and points at her stomach, “Dada foof!”
“You want food?” She nods, “Just give daddy one minute baby.”
I pick her up in my arms, and turn back to the initiate, “Don’t just use your arms to punch, use your entire body, throw the punch using your hips.”
“Dada! I hungy!” Y/D/N cries.
“Maybe you should feed her Daddy Eric,” The Candor boy smirks.
“Get back to training initiate!” I say, before walking up to Four, “I’m going to take Y/D/N home now Four, can you handle the initiates for the rest the day?”
“There’s only half an hour left, I’ll handle it, you can go. Bye Y/D/N,” He smiles at her and gently pinches her cheek. I roll my eyes, normally I’d never let Four near my child, but he and Y/N are close friends so I’m forced to deal with it.
Eventually I sit in the apartment, colouring with Y/D/N, when the front door opens, “Eric! Baby I’m home!”
Y/N walks into the living room, and smiles at the sight of me playing with Y/D/N, “Hey sweetheart, how was work.”
“It was fine,” She says, “How about you, how did you two spend your day?”
“Oh you know, just taking care of my babygirl,” I wasn’t entirely lying.
“Thanks Eric!” She crouches down next to Y/D/N, “Let’s go get you changed baby.”
“Go to twaining, nitiate!” Y/D/N shouts, Y/N looks shocked, and I facepalm myself.
“Eric...?” Y/N hisses, narrowing her eyes at me. Shit.
How would Eric play around with a newborn? And when the baby is around like one or a toddler, what kind of toys?
I think he would be somewhat distant at first, as a guy like him isn’t used to babies, though it would be different if it were his own. I think he’d be overly cautious at first, then you wouldn’t be able to keep the kid away from him.
I think he’d be the type that would give a toddler computer tablets, or things that help them learn to read sooner. Anything that would help stimulate their young mind. I see him giving his child blocks with letters on them, and also anything that helps them develop their physical strength as well.
