It's just a one night thing - ch3 dluh

It’s been a year since I’ve seen Derek. Do I still think about him? Maybe, but it doesnt matter anymore considering I have a boyfriend now. We’ve been dating for 5 months, and don’t get me wrong, I love him, but he has a tendency of being a real dick and a little agressive from time to time which sometimes makes me want to leave him, but I don’t and I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the fact that I have someone that cares about me and I haven’t had that for a while and I love the feeling of being wanted? We met in China, he was backpacking with some of his friends and I ended up tagging along with them and one thing led to another and now I’m living with him in LA. I know that moving in with someone after 5 months is early, but where am I suppose to go? Back home? I don’t think so, not now anyways. “Babe?” I hear someone yell from the kitchen. “Could you come here for a second?” I groaned and got out of my bed lazily. “What?” I asked entering the kitchen wearing a pair of shorts and a oversized t-shirt. “We don’t have any milk nor bread, could you go buy some?” Connor closed the door to the fridge to earn an annoyed look from me. “What?” “Did you really just asked me to come here for that?” He stared at me as if he didn’t understand what he did wrong. “Why don’t you just go yourself? I went down all the ails buying what we needed and a little more including a bucket of chocolate ice cream that I could dig in when I get back to the appartment. As I was walking to the cash register I bumbed into someone quite tall and I quickly apolagized before looking up at the stranger. “Hey I know you.” The stranger blured out. I wonder if he remembers me? “Hey, we’re having a party tomorrow night, you should come. I’m sure everyone would like to see you again.” He said genuienly. “Sure, do you mind if I bring a plus one?” “Sure, is she hot?” Nate smirked as I shook ny head. “No, It would be my boyfriend.” “Oh.” Nate did look a little surprise but he said it was fine and with that we said our goodbyes and I headed back to my place.

“Connor, what are your plans tomorrow night?” He pushed back his black hair out of his face as he turned to look at me sitting on our bed. “What did you have in mind?” He walked towards me, his towel wrapped around his hips. He had just gotten out the shower and he looked peticularely hot in the moment. “I bumped into an old friend at the grocery store and he invited me to his party and you’re also invited.” He cupped my face in his hands and slowly kissed my lips. “Why don’t we just stay in tomorrow night and watch a movie?” “Because I want to see my friends.” He seemed a little annoyed, I knew he didn’t want to go, he’s a spoiled child and the only parties he’s been too are the ones where you dress fancy and talk and hold a glass of champagne, and let me just say that it’s extremely boring. “Please.” I begged putting my hands over his. He rolled his eyes but gave in. “Only because I love you.” “Yes.” I squealed, I usually don't even like partying but for some reason I couldn't wait to go, plus I missed getting drunk.

As I got ready for the party, my mind couldn’t stop thinking about seeing Derek again, is that wrong of me? My thoughts were cut off by Connor walking in as I finished curling my hair into lose curls. “Y/N, you are not going out looking like that.” “Like what?” I asked not really knowing what was wrong with my outfit. “You look like a slut.” He spat. “Excuse me, but I think I’m old enough to chose my own outfit.” I shot angry at his choice of words. He had no right to call me a slut especially if I’m not wearing clothes that are showing my ass or boobs. I looked at my golden dress and didn’t see what the problem was. “Your dress is way to short and your heels make you look like a hooker.” “Oh my god, I can’t believe you just said that.” I grabbed my purse and pushed by him. “If you are going to be a dick to me then you should stay here bacause I don’t want to deal with any of your shit.” “Wait!” He grabbed my arm and made me turn around. “Fine, I won’t say anything about how you look for tonight.” I sighed happy that this time I won this argument. “Okay, now lets go.”

I stared at the house in front of me in awe. This is where Nate lives? Jeasus! I could hear music blasting from outside and I was ready to get myself a drink. I walked inside and automatically walked to the kitchen which was passed the living room like I had guessed. “You came!” I looked to where the voice came from and smiled when I saw who it was. “Hey Nate.” He came for a hug but Connor pulled me away from him and locked his arm around my waist. Nate looked between the two of us awkwardly and I just rolled my eyes. “You must be Y/N’s boyfriend.” Nate smirked at Connor who just huffed and pulled me closer. “Anyways, do you want a drink?” Nate turned his attention back to me. “I’ll take care of bringing a drink to my girlfriend.” Connor shot him a glare. “I’ll be right back.” As soon as he was far away for him not to hear us Nate spoke up. “Some guy you have there.” “He can be sweet.” Nate didn’t seem to be at all convinced and to be honest, I wasnt either. “But he’s a prick most of the time.” “Then why are you with him?” “I mean, I still love him in some twisted way.” Nate was about to say something but Connor came back wrapping his arm around my waist. “So what where you guys talking about?” Before I could tell him a lie I heard a familiar voice behind me. “Yo Skate!” My heart stopped and it took all my strength to turn around and meet the guy I haven’t seen in so long. “You’ll never believe what just- Y/N.” We stared at one another for a while, we were suppose to never see eachother again yet here we were, face to face and for a moment I felt like we were alone in the room. “Who’s this?” Connor asked. Great I had forgotten he was also here. “Who are you?” Derek locked his eyes on Connors arm wrapped around my waist and his jaw clenched. “I’m Connor, Y/N’s boyfriend.” “Oh…” Something changed in Derek’s expression but it soon changed into a smirk. “Your taste changed quite a lot.” He told me before walking away. I didn’t want him to leave, I wanted to know what happened in his life since our last incounter, how he was doing, but I soon realised that I shouldn’t be feeling this way, especially since I had a boyfriend. But for some reason I always cared about Derek. “What did he mean by that?” My boyfriend asked snapping me out of my thoughts. “Nothing.” I chugged down and slid out of his grip to get myself another drink. “Nate, distract Connor for a second, I have to do something.” He nodded his head and made his way to the pretty boy sipping his beer. I quickly slid threw the door going to the backyard and saw Derek sitting on the side of a fire with a girl.“ "What was that back there?” I asked him annoyed. “What are you talking about?” He acted stupid. “Your taste changed quite a lot.” I said in a deep voice to imitate him. “Couldn’t you be like a normal person for a second and just ask me ‘how are you?’” “How are you Y/N?” He asked a playfull smile glued to his face. “I’m good, what about you?” “I’m great.” “Good. Now i’m going to head back to Connor, I’ll see you later.” “Y/N?” I turned around to look at him. “I’ll text you later? Maybe catch up sometimes?” “I’d like that.”

“There you are.” Connor hugged me from behind. “I’ve been seaching for you everywhere and that Nate guy was annoying me as fuck.” I rolled my eyes. I feel like if I keep rolling them, they’ll stay stuck. “Can we go back to the apartment, I don’t really like these people. "But we got here like 2 hours ago can’t we stay longer?” “Not unless you want to walk back to the apartment?” “Fine, I’ll crash here then.” “That wasn’t in the choice of answer.” He said grabbing me by the arm and pulling me out of the house earning some worried looks from KDL and Nate. “Let go of me.” I tried getting out of his grip once we were outside. “You’re hurting me.” I yelled earning his attention. “This is your fault, if you would’ve just came like I told you too.” “For gods sake Connor, I don’t belong to you, you can’t control me! Ever since we moved in together you’ve been acting like a real bitch and it’s really annoying me.” “Oh and you haven’t been acting like a bitch.” I wanted to punch him, insult him and go back inside but I was too tired of this bullshit to say anything. “We’ll talk about this tomorrow now get in the car.”
