the republic still would have fallen and become the empire with or without Anakin so I'm thinking of fun shenanigans aus of Anakin and Obi Wan having to be in hiding with the twins Kenobi show style (Padme still dying maybe she thought Anakin was dead. Maybe Palpatine killed her) Im stuck between Anakin having to be on the run separate from his children for their safety and having to save Obi Wan and Leia during the Kenobi show adventure dressed in disguise to hide from a Palpatine that's still obessesed with making him his apprentice. Or Obi Wan thinking Anakin was killed by Palpatine and realize he's been in hiding all this time. Thinking his family is dead. Either way obikin reunion during the Kenobi show where Anakin never fell to the dark side. Anakin saving Obi Wan and Leia as the man in black.

Your angsty idea of Obi thinking Anakin is dead is so good, it’s perfection. Like he’s devastated and dreams about Anakin dying alone somewhere away from him and he hates himself for not protecting his Padawan, but he’s going to keep the twins safe at all costs and Anakin thinking all of them are dead and then they finally find each other.
