D'slove Encore Day 1&2: Part 2
Since I had too many words bubbling over in my head to pour into 1 post, I have split it into two. The first one is here and this is the second one, covering mostly notable MCs and fan interviews. [Note] If you use any part of the text, please credit me~!! >_< Thank you♡
①Fake jumping In the middle of the concert, he suddenly comes up with a sincere request to his fans. He had mentioned it on day 1 as well so on day 2...
DS: I have a lot of jumping songs. I have like.. 5? jumping songs! Let's see there's WINGS... VIPs \\JOYFUL!!// DS: Yes Joyful... *lifts 2nd finger* and... VIPs \\HELLO!!// DS: Yes Hello... *lifts 3rd finger* VIPs: \\Samete Nemure!!// DS: ...yes Samete Nemure... *lifts 4th finger* ... VIPs \\ ... *thinking* // DS: ...ok yes! I have like maybe 5 songs where we jump!! I have no idea how that happened (laughing) I jump really hard!! But when I look at some of you all... (looks to fans) your feet!! This is what you do *points at his own feet* Can you see my feet? [The camera zooms into his feet] DS: Like this! (He slightly lifts the back of his heels up and down but leaves the tips of his feet touching the ground) THIS IS NOT JUMPING!!! WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN KNOW, WHAT IS THIS CALLED IN JAPANESE!?!? Fake jumping!?!? It's not jumping!!!!!!!! I'm here jumping so hard and you guys are doing this!!!!! I noticed this yesterday and was so shocked so I'm not as shocked today, but I am still really surprised. VIPs \\ (laughing so hard because it's true) // DS: The top half of you is like (smiles really big and looks happy) YAYYY jumping!!!! but then the bottom half of you is not jumping at all T_T I run marathons at the gym -- speed 12!! for half an hour per day!! -- so I can jump for you!!!! VIPs \\whooo~~!! wow~~~~// DS: ....so please jump with me..? ( ;^; ) <-- THIS WAS SO CUTE OMFGSH♥♥♥ He kind of pout-pleaded with a sort of sad/please face... omg (///ω///)♡♡♡
Just as a side note, it's really hard to jump in the stand seats, sometimes even arena seats cause the spaces are so small. I jump most of the time because I think jumping, dancing, and singing along with him makes the concert that much more enjoyable, but I get bruises on my knees every time I jump from bumping into the seat in front of me >_> I really should tell him that we do try in my next letter....
②Fan interview: babies Day 2. Daesung is notorious for loving babies of all ages (he calls children, 'babies' as well lolol) so of course during fan interview/gift time, he naturally searched for babies.
DS: I wanted to give this bear today to a baby but... there aren't any... I don't see any... :( Then I swear to God I wish I was joking when I say what happened next-- MANY mothers in the crowd started to lift their babies up into the air (and I use my clever friend's expression here) like "in the Lion King with Simba." I saw someone on the SECOND FLOOR FIRST ROW (aka drop-able distance!!??) on the other side of the venue lifting up her baby -- dear God that is not what babies are for. ANYWAYS, despite this horror show, Daesung could not find a child right away and started to walk to the other side-- DS: Since there are no babies... oh! I heard some man-power earlier!! I will give it to the man~~ Then as he walked over to the man, he saw a child being held up in the air next to the man. DS: !!!! A baby... but I already promised the man I'd give it to him.... but... baby.... (._.) ... but I'm a man of my word and keep my promises... so I have to give it to the man... (to the staff) is there any more I can give away..? He finds out there is another so he hands the bear to the man who is making thank you signs to Dae from the crowd. Then he talks to the kid-- DS: What's your name? Kid \\xjviojafkd// <-- couldn't hear DS: ...sarang..? (I think? but I don't think that was the kid's name cause that's not a Japanese name) That's a nice name! How old are you? Kid \\ 9..! // DS: 9!! wow~ What's your dream? Kid \\.....// DS: Ohhh I see, your dream is so big you can't even put it into words!! You're going to accomplish so much!! I'll support you!!! VIPs \\ lolololol // Then he thanks him and sends the bear to the child.
③Fan interview: dancing grandma On day 1, Daesung chose a fan to gift the DLITE YG bear to from the crowd.
DS: Today, there is a special oneesan (older sister - nice way to say young lady) who I want to give this bear to... a very beautiful oneesan... right here *points* [camera zooms into a giddy looking grandma with a BB Japan ver light stick, standing front row center of the arena right at the fence, a little ways from her seat lol] The grandma looks super surprised like 'what?! me!?!?' DS: Yes, you! I've been looking during the concert and you have been dancing so much all throughout!!
I honestly cannot remember if he asked her for her name or age because all I remember is what happened next-- Dae started to sing and the sweet lady smiled wide and started to move her entire body to the music, dancing to and fro swinging her light stick upside downside and to the sides, she was just feelin' it!! hahaha She must have been in her 70's but her heart was so young!! She just kept putting her hands to her heart and thanking Daesung.
④Fan interview: lego On day 2, Daesung pointed out a fan on the 2nd floor with a large banner with pictures of Dae and the 3D band as Lego heads. As some of you may already know, it was the Dae-stan who always makes the Daesung and 3D band legos and gifts them to *every member of the band* plus Daesung. She has organized several Dae-stan dinner events for fans who attend Dae's concerts, one of which I attended at the end of D'slove. I was incredibly surprised at how organized and fun it was with Daesung-themed games, video clips, gifts, dinner, and a video message we recorded there that she edited and gifted to Daesung on the final day of last year's tour. She also happens to write a lot of fan accounts mostly about Daesung, many of which I have translated in the past. She knows I translate fan accounts and thanks me for it, even though she doesn't directly benefit from it, because she knows iVIPs can't understand what the members are saying and cares. She's not a fansite, she's not affiliated with YGEX or YG, she is just a down-to-earth fan who really loves Daesung and Dae-stans. This is why when she was recognized from the crowd, my friend and I couldn't control our excitement.
DS: Oh!! I know you!! *He looks to the band then back at her* Everyone, she is a fan who always, after every tour, makes a Lego set of all of us and gifts them to us. They are really amazing!! She also does a lot of stuff for BB events and is really a hard worker. I have many photos (of the legos) saved on my phone~~!! Thank you for continuing to support me.
Daesung himself looks excited to see her and to tell us about her!! I was so so so touched at the fact that Daesung knew her, recognized her, and appreciated her dedication to him. I feel like it was a huge neon sign to the rest of us that he does in fact see our letters, our gifts, and indeed does care about each and every one of us. I feel like I have talked about this event over and over and yet I will never shut up about it because it was amazing. I think I lost weight from crying after that.
⑤Fan interview: mom The next interview was like a sudden change of emotions. It was a mom in the front row of the arena. As soon as she got the mic, it was like she hadn't talked in 3 days.
Fan mom: HI DAESUNG HI!!! I go to BIGBANG concerts a lot but today my two daughters saved up their money to buy me a concert ticket for today!!!!!! *aggressively points to two ladies on her left* *starts batting and waving fan board with red B* Also my daughter stayed up til 5am making these for me!!!! *vigorously waves fan* MY DAUGHTERS, THEY ARE MY DAUGHTERS!!♡♡♡ *while pointing to her daughters on her left* This one is <insert name1> and that one is <insert name2>!!! And that's <name2>'s friend, ... *pause to ask name again* <insert name3>!!!!!!!!! This one is married (name2 girl)!! But she's single!!!!! (Points to name1 girl) Looking for a relationship!!! (Looked like she was pointing I herself here but not sure) DAESUNG I LIKE YOU!!!! All the while, Daesung is being very polite and squeezing in a word or two whenever he can between her confession of life. DS: (the the daughter) Oh so you're single..? [Camera is now focused on the daughter] Fan daughter: yes... DS: Are you not in a relationship because you chose not to be? Fan daughter: no I'm not trying to not be in a relationship... DS: ah ok so if the right chance appears..? Fan daughter: yes.. /// DS: how old are you? Fan girll: 32 (I saw a fanacc that said she said 34, not sure) DS: *counts with fingers the difference between his and her age* Oh! That's perfect!!! Fan daughter: if it's ok with you with a nuna DS: It's ok!!! I love nuna~!!! VIPs \\whooo~~~ooo~~~!!// DS: Ok so I'll put all my feelings inside of this bear and give it to you!! *touches bear to chest aggressively* Then after Daesung gives away the bear and starts to walk off, he adds-- DS: To any male single fans out there!!! You saw her face right now right? If you're interested~~~ *wink wink* *to the girl* just after the concert, stay 5 min after at your seat, right? In case any guy comes~ (to the fanboys) but it's embarrassing for the guy to ask in front of everyone, right? So you all can casually walk by and slip your business card to her ;)
I could *not* stop laughing during this mother's interview lololol And then Dae's match maker proposal at the end just finished it off for me. Smooth Daesungie where did he learn these moves? hahahaha
END! This was really supposed to be the shorter post, but I feel like this ended up just as long (but hopefully more funny?). I love BIGBANG very much and I feel I will continue to be their fan as long as they produce music, but with Daesung, I feel like I have crossed the line beyond being just a fan. IT IS LOVE. Laugh and call me crazy all you want, this is how Dae-stans stay Dae-stans forever -- it's his love. ;) Dae stans, be proud. He is perfect. He is perfect in all his imperfections!!!
