Though he walked into this meeting knowing full well that civility had long since gone out the window (it had been gone at least three decades by now) it still incensed him that she would dare react in defiance instead of just accepting her fate. Kiku remained calm in spite of himself; reacting emotionally wasn't a good look, especially if he was to assert that, whether she liked it or not, he was now in charge.
"I should not have expected so much from you-- being less than grateful towards me for all I've done for you up until this point has lowered my expectations, yet I'm still left disappointed."
A document, merely a copy of the one that had been earlier signed (under duress or not, it was signed and that's all he cared about) was soon held up and waved around in a mocking fashion.
"This says you're mine. So I suggest you improve your attitude towards me, Chōsen."
