I’m curious, do you think Dango was going to ever be more than the Token Animal Mascot? I mean as far as I remember, he’s only had one thing to add to the story beyond being introduced, and that was the spectacular headbutt in Firelight.
Frankly, I don't think he will. When it comes to Trickle Down Character Importance Economy, Dagno is... Well, pretty down low. He doesn't really serve anything much to the plot except being an ornament for Cogsley at best, and is hardly a character with given personality or in depth emotions (like Momo and Appa in atla)
It's honestly a bit of a shame but ngl I have largely forgotten this guy existed and I already reread book 4 a week ago... So yeah, he doesn't have much of a presence :(
