The loud ringing of his alarm made Daichi shoot awake, he looked to his left and saw the spot empty, he rubbed his head confused and picked up his phone,” Oh shit” he said jumping out of bed seeing that he was late for practice. He found it weird that you didn't try to wake him up, and he was also surprised that he didn't wake up with the crying of his son through the baby monitor.” Daichi, where are you going this early?” his mom asked confused,” Volleyball practice, y/n must have already left, can you watch over Haruto” he said tying his laces,” Honey, the season is already over, and whose Haruto and y/n?” she asked confused,” Mom, it’s not funny” he scolded,” I’m being serious” she said putting her hand on her hips,” Emmm, I need to go” he said dashing out of the house. Arriving at school, he heard a familiar giggle which made him smile,” Y/N, there you are. I was worried, mom was weird she was wondering who you and Haruto are. Can you believe it?” he chuckled,” Who are you?” you asked with a disgusted tone,” Y/n, why does this loser know your name?” your friend asked,” I’m her boyfriend? We have a son together” Daichi said hurt, you scoffed,” I’m dating Oikawa, you know the best Captain in the region, unlike you. I do remember you know, you are the loser Captain of the loser Volleyball team, shame that you had to disband due to lack of winnings” you laughed walking past him, Daichi was left hurt and confused, his next stop was the gym but when he arrived the Basketball team was training,” No, you can't be here” Daichi screamed.
Daichi jolted awake,” Daichi?” you asked softly bouncing Haruto in his arms,” You’re here” he jumped out of bed, giving you a big hug.” Dai, you okay?” you asked patting his back,” Just had a nightmare,” he said,” Want to talk about it?”,” I will be fine, just looking at the two of you makes all my problems go away,” he said kissing your forehead,” Did you sleep well?” he cooed at his son,” Seems like it, slept through the night” you smiled,” Did he eat?” Daichi asked,” First thing, I did when he woke up. Can you get him dressed? I want to eat breakfast,” you said, Daichi nodded,” While you at it change his diapers,” you said before quickly disappearing just as the smell of a full diaper hit’s Daichi’s nose,” For someone who only drinks milk you make some smelly poops” he grimaced patting Haruto’s back who just cooed in response.
“How does the first night of Haruto sleeping through feel?” Daichi’s mom asked as she handed you a plate full of food, Daichi’s sister was sitting next to you scrolling through her phone while eating a bowl of cereal,” Why can’t I get the same thing?” she pouted,” You can have the same thing once you have a child- Don’t even think about young Lady” she warned as she saw her daughters face change at the statement,” Was just messing, I will be going out with my friends, they got tickets for an early screening of my favourite movie” she said making her mom nod,” So going back to the question”,” Good, he’s so cute, I can’t even be mad when he wakes me up” you cooed,” I felt the same with all my kids”,” Look how cute he looks” Daichi said walking into the room with Haruto dressed in a fluffy bear onesie,” I knew he will look amazing in it” his mom cooed walking over to Daichi, grabbing her Grandson from his arms, Haruto looked at her with big eyes before breaking into an adorable smile melting her heart,” We’re going to spend a lot of time togheter once your parents go back to school” she said before peppering his dumbling like cheeks with kisses making him giggle,” How are you feeling about that Dai? Nationals isn’t that far away now” you asked between bits,”Nervous, Nekoma made into the finals, alongside Fukorodani, they are the only team we know. The others are completely mystery” he said sitting down beside you,”You be fine, they haven't seen that crazy quick in person yet either, with that and the others you have a good chance of winning” you said pecking his lips,”And I have to good luck charms now” he smiled,”Wait, are you taking Haruto with to Tokyo?” his Mom asked shocked,”Yes, don't you think it’s a good idea?” you asked worried,”No, but I won’t be able to see him for a while” she said pouting.
“Okay, Haruto, ready to meet the others?” you asked sweetly fixing his onesie, Haruto looked at you before giving gummy smile and pressing his face into your chest,” I guess he his” Daichi smiled rubbing the small bit of hair on top of his head,” BABY DAICHI” a shout was heard and within second Nishinoya appeared before you,” Baby Daichi?” you scoffed,” He didn’t carry him for nine months and spend nearly 2 days in labour for him” you added with an eye roll,” He’s so cute,” Noya said ignoring your rant, being too busy staring at the baby in your arms who was peaking at him from between your chest,” Can I hold him?” he asked,” Well let’s get inside first, Haruto’s cheeks are freezing already,” Daichi said feeling his son’s icy cheeks on his finger.
Inside the school, the gym was already Ukai, Takeda, Kiyoko and Yachi.” Look who have here, our little troublemaker” Ukai said handing Takeda his clipboard before walking to you. Haruto was looking curiously, his small hand holding onto your jacket,” I’m Ukai, you little cute blob” he said before tapping Haruto’s nose,” I’m not lying when I say he’s the cutest baby I ever have seen” Ukai smiled looking at Haruto,” He seems to be going after you y/n” Takeda said rubbing Haruto’s cheek,” I have been told much to Daichi’s dismay” you giggled,” That onesie is so adorable, he looks like a cute bear cub” Yachi cooed grabbing Haruto’s free hand, the boy just looked at the strangers with a confused face which made him look even more adorable,” Can I hold him now?” Noya asked,” Sure, he might be a bit wiggly first,” you said gently handing over your son who was still holding onto you and it didn't seem like he was letting go anytime soon as soft whimpers left his lips,” He won’t hurt you Haru,” you said,” Yes, I’m one of your Uncles,” he said once Haruto finally let go of you, Noya pressed the boy into his chest and rubbed his back but it didn’t stop the incoming screaming making the Libero gulp, he looked for help to you and Daichi,” I didn’t even do anything,” he said while trying to stop Haruto from crying, you and Daichi were about to say something when Kiyoko stepped in,” First, he doesn’t know you and second your holding him wrong,” she said taking the baby of the 2nd year, who just pouted in response. Kiyoko brought Haruto facing her position before gently laying his head on her shoulder, while an arm was hooked under his bottom for better support. Soon Haruto’s cries stopped,” He seems to like you” you smiled walking behind her to see Haruto asleep, his cheeks where covered in dried tears,” How should have I know that?” Noya defended,” If you listened in class maybe?” Daichi said,” Well you didn't listen either as if you would have, Haruto wouldn't be here” he snapped back making you chuckle.
Once school started back, Haruto mostly stayed with his Grandparents who spoiled him rotten much to your and Daichi’s dismay,” Mom, he has enough clothes already” Daichi said with Haruto in his arms while staring at his mom who was showing him the new clothes she bought for him,” But, he looked so cute in them. I couldn't say no” she smiled pinching Haruto’s chubby cheek making him giggle,” How is practice going?” she changed the topic,” Good, Kaegyema was picked who the under 19′s teams while Tsukishima for a Bootcamp in Shirotzawa” he said sitting down on the couch, he lifted Haruto in the air carefully throwing him in the air before catching him with ease,” Do you like that” he asked softly, before kissing his son’s cheek,” My little good luck charm” he whispered against his cheek before placing another kiss on it,” Nervous for Tokyo?”,”Very, mostly since Haruto is going to join. I’m worried if a ball is going to hit, sometimes they fly into the stands” Daichi said placing the baby on his legs and began rubbing his belly which he always seems to enjoy,” So long he wears ear protection, I say he be fine” she smiled,” I start making dinner, hopefully, y/n be back from her shift than”,” Haruto, I can’t believe I had second thoughts about” Daichi said once his mom left for the kitchen, Daichi observed his son chewing at fist, his big eyes darting towards his father,” You might have not come at an ideal time but I wouldn't change it for the world” just then he heard the door open,” That must be Mommy, are you hungry yet?” Haruto broke out in a smile,”I take that as a yes, your lucky boy”.
Meanwhile in Tokyo
“Akashi what jacket should I wear?” Bokuto asked his friend,” Why?”,” The baby, my nephew, he be coming soon and I need to look my best” he said making Akashi smile a bit,” It’s still weeks away Bokuto”,” Do you think those cats won't be prepared for him. I need to be better prepared than them, as after all, I am his favourite Uncle” Akashi sighed,” Fine, I help you”,” Hey, hey, hey, that’s what I like to hear. I prepared something for you too by the way- Akashi where are you going? Oh, yes good idea somewhere safe so does Cats can’t see our outfits”
