what are your thoughts on king of the hill? for me, it's this gem that i really appreciate now that im 20. it was dry and boring af when i was younger, but i just get it now haha.

King of the Hill, when it first came out, weirdly, was something my parents thought was “too adult” for me, and they’d usually ask me to change the channel... so I was always under the impression that it was super inappropriate or something, but I eventually snuck a few episodes and realized, “OHHHHH.  It’s not inappropriate, it’s just dry and boring.”  HAHA!  For a kid, like you said. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have friends and family who LOVED it when they were kids... but they were from Texas.  So... maybe they had more of a kinship with it.As an adult, I like it just fine!  I haven’t seen all of it, but it was definitely one of the shows me and my friends used to put on as background noise while we worked in college, and I dug it!  Although after a certain amount of time, they’d usually switch to something a little more energetic and less... well, dry.  Haha. Mike Judge is great though!  I think “gem that I didn’t appreciate until my 20s” is a good way to put it, for sure.
