Grosse Point Light
Constructed in 1873 after lobbying from the local community after several boating accidents nearby. It was designed by Orland Metcalf Poe, who had designed many towers which eventually came to be known to be in the “Poe style”. It is the tallest light in Illinois at 113 feet and was automated in 1935
