Fall, hands down! Perfect temperatures, best holidays, and it’s harvest time so I get to do a LOT of jamming and canning and fun stuff like that. As much as I like summer, it doesn’t have the nice ‘cozy up by the wood fire’ potential that fall does. Or Halloween. Halloween is a major factor.
I love cooking, baking, candymaking etc. My mom was a pro baker in her heyday so I got a pretty good start in the kitchen, and now it’s my go-to activity when I need to relax and destress. Lately I’ve been on a kick of perfecting my recipe for floral-flavored cakes and the berries + sauces to pair with them.
I also like to repair/patch clothing, both to fix items and further customize em!
I have a really hard time just...doing...things, sometimes, like anything, so the best way to get over a bad slow day is to remind myself that tomorrow is a fresh start. Sometimes it’s tempting to punish yourself for not getting stuff done, but letting it go and trying again the next day is way healthier. For me, at least.
