#marchmeetthemaker DAY 15: GOALS/MOTIVATIONS • At the beginning of this year, I set a handful of goals involving taking my art into the super scary business realm. Since it is today’s prompt, and almost a quarter of the way through the year already, I figured it’d be a good time to check in with my resolutions to see if I’m on track in the way I expected. As in the picture, my goals were: (1): Create and build an online store - Created (www.dancinglandoodles.com) link in the bio. Working on the “building” part, which frustratingly, just takes time and consistent effort. So I think I’ll continue what I’ve been doing. (2) Learn how to usr photoshop to create prints (& maybe pins) - Have yet to purchase photoshop, let alone use it. Saving up for the purchase. (3) One+ instagram post per day #dailydancinglan_doodles -So far so good, except I forgot to use the hashtag I created on the first 71 days of posts 😂🙊 (4) Practice new chalkboard fonts - I’ve been doing my best to practice and switch up my chalkboard fonts. In general, I try not to use the same font two weeks in a row • Looking back on these goals the past few months, I feel like I’m “on track”. I tried really hard to pick a small amount of goals that I felt were manageable and then scaled them down more afterwords to be as specific and realistic as possible. What motivates me to pursue and maintain my pursuit of these goals is the idea of freedom with my business/career life. • Challenge and prompt list created by @joannehawker .
