God Jul ya filthy heathens! Here are a few folk art #DalaHorses minus the reins because these aren't domesticated critters, even though they like to live inside and show off their pretty patterns. What started as a winter carving activity among horse-loving makers in Dalarna and other places became a cottage industry and is now a national symbol of Sweden, where several of my ancestors immigrated from in the 1800's to the Chicago area.
