Final fight part 1
After another three tributes had fallen, the crowds eagerly gathered around their screens to see who the next victor of the hunger games was and there were two tributes that had caught their eyes. Dallas from district seven and Oliver from district one had become the most betted tributes to win which no surprise because of their private training scores.
Jamie is trying to swim away across to the snowy mountains and when he takes a moment to look back, he can see that the district seven tribute, Dallas, is not ready to leave him alone.
Jamie makes it onto the shore, but is quite tired from the quick swim and takes a moment to rest while Dallas climbs up, without a sweat.
Jamie starts to panic and blocks Dallas’s attacks with his mace but Dallas quickly plunges a knife into his left arm. Jamie screams in pain as Dallas twists the knife around, causing Jamie to start to cry a little. Dallas wrestled Jamie for a little bit before resorting to using his fists.
“Dallas!” Oliver shouts
Dallas delivers another hard blow to Jamie’s face, causing Jamie to stay there, lying on the frozen ground.
Dallas turns around to face Oliver, knife in hand.
“So today’s the day you want to settle the score?” Dallas says with a cocky grin.
Oliver nods, “Nice knife, where’s your pretty little axe? Loose that to the mutts?”
“Better than avoiding the fight,” Dallas laughs.
Oliver throws one of his poisoned darts but it misses by a long shot and almost gets Jamie. He runs at Dallas but since he only had two darts and a small blade at the ready, he snaps of the darts with his blade and tips the liquid over the blade. Anyone who even had a scratch with this would suffer which was his plan.
Dallas comes at Oliver one more time and Oliver missteps and Dallas quickly smashes a rock hard into his leg. Dallas keeps on hitting and Oliver can hear a horrible snapping sound. Pain jolts up the entire left side of his body and Dallas just laughs.
“It’s almost over,” Dallas grins, raising his dagger.
The Cannon fires.
Dallas falls to the ground next to Oliver, revealing Jamie standing there, his bloody mace raised.
“Help me up, he would have killed you if I hadn’t of helped.” Oliver says and Jamie responds by doing exactly what he says.
Oliver nods over at Dallas, “He was a good tribute, I would have thought that he would have won.
“Ladies and gentlemen, tributes, all your weapons are being taken away from you in honour of the final fight. Any weapons or poison you have, they will be gone and in return, The Capitol will give you each a silver pick axe each. Good luck tributes and may the odds be ever in your favour.”
