Continuation of the Cinderella AU?
continuing on from this! or, well, same verse at least.
Jamie feels surprisingly with it after a couple of glasses of water and a decent breakfast, which is awesome party because he was pretty wasted last night, and probably deserves to feel worse, but mostly because Jordie looks like he has the hangover from hell.
He watches, smug, as Jordie casts his eyes around the kitchen and picks up one of many, many not-totally-empty red cups littering every surface. Jordie sniffs it and then looks like he wants to throw up and groans, "Fuuuuuck."
"So," Jamie says, trying to hide his grin. "I'm just gonna head back to my dorm..."
"Chubbs," Jordie says imploringly.
"You're the one in the frat!" Jamie's lost the battle against his grin now; Jordie's pathetic face is too funny. He gestures around. "You're the one who should be used to cleaning this shit, not roping your little brother into it."
"You're a freshman, you're meant to do what I say, Jamie."
"I'm not one of your pledges, I'm not--" Jamie stops. "Dude, why is there a shoe on top of the fridge?"
It's Jordie's turn to look smug now, and Jamie can feel his cheeks heating even before Jordie says, "You tell me, bro, you were the one making out with some dude there all night and getting in everyone's way when they just wanted more beer. He was hot, by the way. Good work."
With some effort, Jamie rises above Jordie's bait. "But a shoe."
Jordie shrugs. "Yeah, I dunno, when you stopped sucking face you kept talking about manners and being Canadian and taking your shoes off in the house, your game is weak. You don't remember?"
"I remember... him," Jamie says. Jordie's right, the guy had been totally fucking hot, and a great kisser, and Jamie remembers laughing with him and having a good time, too, though not exactly every detail of their conversations.
He'd been sort of distracted.
