The outcome of the situation wasn’t how Ebony had intended it, but even when she watched as the events spiraled out of control and saw what they would lead to, she still did nothing. Everything was falling apart due to her actions that she continued to carry on with, seeing who got involved and how it would affect them never crossed her mind. For once, the obsidian-haired monster was looking out for herself, and those who fell in the process, she thought would mean nothing. But in the circumstances of seeing Ashelia, in pain from the wound brought upon her for standing in Ebony’s way, it stopped her. Those mako orbs had shifted towards the young woman, she stared at her for a moment in complete silence before she slowly breathed in and kneeled down in front of her. “Bad things happen to good people, my dear. You just so happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time… and for that, and that alone, I apologize.” She extended her hand to offer a gentle brush of her thumb against Ashe’s cheek while her lips pursed together for a moment as she looked over the woman’s features, “If it means anything, the wound isn’t fatal… that much I made sure of.” With that being said, Ebony reached down to grab her blade off the ground and stood to walk away.
