She felt off. She couldn’t pinpoint what it was exactly. Maybe she was just tired or hungry. ( It wasn’t either of those things, she knew that, but she was going to pretend otherwise. ) Caroline pushed her fingers through her hair, pressing them into her neck briefly before dropping her arms to her sides. She nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard a noise behind her. The blonde whirled around, letting out a small sigh of relief. “You almost gave me a heart attack. Why are you lurking?”
