The sternness of his voice caught her off guard for a moment. His expression scared her too. It was rare that Lo would be as unnerved as she was now. She wanted to protest but his gaze was enough to keep her quiet. He had a strange power over her. Her hands shook as she gripped the hem of her jacket tightly, knuckles turning white. He was waiting for her reply but all she could think about was what he’d done. All she could think about was death. 

And blood.

Lots of blood.

He stepped closer to her and her eyes caught his. He bore down on her and she finally managed to give him a reply,” O-Of course.” Her voice didn’t have the same confidence it usually did. He continued to look at her and she reached out, touching his cheek gently,” I promise. I won’t tell anyone else.”

Who would believe her anyways?
