Not our due time - Vaako and Dame Vaako
It wasn’t over. Vaako couldn’t accept that. He was still breathing. Riddick hadn’t ordered his death, and he knew in his heart that it was not his due time. He’d gone numb, unwilling to feel fear that the breeder might change his mind or shame for trying to kill Zhylaw when he was sworn to be loyal to him.
He shed his armor when he entered their chambers without waiting for one of the servants to help him. After pouring a glass of wine, he dropped into a chair and stared up at the vaulted ceiling, while he pondered what his next move should be. "Did your grand plan have a back up in case I failed?"
