You Dress Like A Wayne
((Damian and Steph “Scarf”as requested by damian-waynes from the seasonal prompts. Gasp, it’s not TimSteph!? Shh, I told you I can write stuff besides those two jokers))
“I don’t see why I let you chose my clothing for undercover work, Brown. Your taste is atrocious.” He was tugging on a dark blue jacket that, well honestly, he didn’t hate, but he couldn’t tell her that. “Because A. You lost your rights when you stuck my BFF into a bunny suit, so count yourself lucky I don't do worse, B. you dress like a Wayne, and then C. It’s either me or Dick.” Stephanie just grinned at him and pulled her black bob wig into place. “… Fine. None of those ridiculous yellow blobs this time.” “You mean the smilie faces?” Steph so knew she’d never be able to pull that twice. “Only idiots dress like that.” Mister Killjoy in every way. “Aww, don’t call yourself stupid!” “Don’t twist my words, Brown!” Uh oh, he didnt like that one. Steph decided to pull back, take a new route with her teasing. “That’s what siblings do, little guy.” She shot him a sweet smile. Shift attention around a little, Steph. Acceptance over abuse, right? “We are not siblings. As if my father would even consider adopting you.” “We are for today, Brat Wonder.” She twisted a white and black scarf around her neck, debating the best placement. “And I could still be your sister without being adopted.” “What? Like Drake will find the nerve and you’re getting awfully old, aren’t you?” Oh, he just thought he was hilarious, didn’t he? “Did I say it had to be Timmy?” Well, that shut him up. Steph didn’t notice how he stared at her after that response, how he stuffed his hands hurriedly in his pockets, turned away and busied himself with his buttons. “I prefer you blonde.” He said after a moment, giving her wig a disgusted look. “What’s that, D?” Steph looked over at his curiously. Had that been a compliment? “I said your wig is hideous and this hat is cheap. Wear it.” He tugged it off of his head and threw it at her. She caught it easily and shrugged, testing it out. “Better?” “Tt, it’ll have to do. No one’s going to buy you as my sister.” “Mm, now you’re missing something.” She tapped her lips as she looked him over. “My dignity in these rags?” Damian shifted uneasily, was this some prank? Steph rolled her eyes and pulled the scarf off of her neck before bending down and wrapping it around his. She pulled it tight to cover his mouth and kissed his cheek before messing up his hair. He yanked the scarf loose and glared at her, Damian would not let her smiles and giggles get at him like they did his weak supposed brothers. He didnt remove the scarf fully though, his cheek were just red from the cold, that was all. “Be careful with that, it was a gift!” “Tt, what do you take me for? Some child?” He straightened the scarf and didnt look at her when he gave it the smallest of sniffs. Peaches? “Maybe one day. C’mon, you ready?” “I’m always ready, Brown.” “Don’t forget though, you’re supposed to be a kid so you better hold my hand when we cross the street like a good boy.” She ruffled his hair again. He slapped his hand at her. “Children are supposed to help old women cross the street, but don’t push your luck, Brown.” He smirked and stuffed his hands back in his pockets again as they departed. Steph just rolled her eyes, this mission was going to be easier than she thought.
