So, did the original scripts call for Hardison to be played by an African-America. The show does play with the juxtaposition of Hardison being black and therefor not conforming to the stereotype of the pasty-faced white geek in his mother’s basement. And the show does that very well.

However, the thought of Aldis Hodge showing up for an audition where race is not specified and the producers just saying, “Okay, I guess that character’s going to be played by an African-American why not?” really appeals to me. So I’m going with that one.
