I love how she goes from stoic barely moving as she speaks, like her lips are barely moving and yet she enunciates each word so sharply, even though her voice is low, she barely shows any emotion except the slight furrow of her eyebrows and then when Kara tries to cut in and tell her she’s wrong she just fucking explodes and her entire body reacts with it, her entire face changes, her voice cracks as she raises it.

This woman is fucking brilliant and her portrayal of Lena is perfect.

S6 Headcanon:

Gabriel and Jo have lived on using a version of the flame specific to the people of Sanctum, and flameGabriel captures Bellamy to sacrifice him for the greater good. The only way to save Bellamy's life and honor Monty's wish to do better: is for flameJo & Clarke to appeal to his humanity. They remind him how much he always loved Jo and would do anything to keep her safe.... and in a moment of desperation, Clarke yells that he can't take away Bellamy because that's how she feels about him.

And they cut the season with Bellamy's face: staring at Clarke in disbelief, hoping that he gets to live to tell her that he loves her too.
