🌼 for a happiness headcanon
Compared to his moody, lazy teenage self, Shikamaru as an adult really shows his emotions a lot more. He’s relaxed, he’s happy. The man’s gone through some hard shit, and a war, he’s lost people he loved, but being with his friends, seeing Naruto rise up and find his place, marrying Temari and loving Shikadai have all given him hope and a reason to live that he didn’t have before.
He absolutely laughs a lot more too.
