The whitewashing in the new Star Trek movie is just terrible and shitty and terrible.
People all over tumblr are hating on Benedict Cumberbatch because of it, and although he is one of my favourite actors and although I will admit that my gut instinct is to jump in to defend him, I can't (also, I wont), because I know that he is a part of something so disappointing and racist.
