In the span of a few days their world had been completely flipped upside down. Jeremy was dead, Katherine ran off with the cure and now some super powered ancient evil was out and about somewhere. Oh and then there’s the tiny detail of Elena’s humanity having been shut off. That particular fact was the driving force between Caroline storming into the Salvatore house this afternoon. Elena without her humanity had turned into a trainwreck of disastrous proportions. Sure in a way it had stopped her grief over her loss, but it hadn’t really helped anything. Not caring about Jeremy’s death or about any of them was not the way to fix things, she needed to face her grief and move past it, not forget about the fact that it all matters. Especially when forgetting that it all matters meant she forgot that life matters, that she shouldn’t go around killing people on a whim and that she shouldn’t be a raging bitch to her friends.
“High school is over Damon.” Fresh from her most recent spat with the not so friendly brunette, Caroline was so not in the mood for Damon’s, snarky attitude, little nicknames and death threats. Blue eyes narrowed at him as she crossed the room “we need to talk about Elena”. It wasn’t a request or a suggestion it was a fact, determination laced through her voice as she poured herself a bit of alcohol, which she knocked back before turning her attention to him once more. “We need to think up a new gameplan to help her find herself again.”
