I think this is the first time I've ever actually drawn the two of them together XD Smiling and pointing at my two little guys who cause problems on purpose <3
Also DAMN! I gave Harbour brown eyes just to see if I liked it better than the green I usually draw him with to match Damsel, and OMG he's so cute with green eyes!!
Harbour also got a little bit of a shave on top so I can actually draw his arms and upper body XD Not sure what to do for his collar though, so he's just got a cute little shirt on now.
I don't think I've ever given any background really for either of my boys, so I'm going to include a little bit of Bio for each of them down here :)
Damselman - Migratory Insect Conservation Robot
Good Point: Great with directions
Bad Point: Wanderlust
Likes: Bugs
Dislikes: Lizards
Damselman was designed to mark the migration routes of migratory insects, and identify areas of high risk and/or areas of importance for conservation. Damsel is capable of long distance flights but suffers from moderate temperature changes. Damsel does a lot of travelling from spring to autumn, but in the winter he tends to get a bit restless and has the urge to stray from his observation areas. He often gets in trouble to leaving his post in his stationary months.
Harbourman - Underwater Repair Robot
Good Point: Independent
Bad Point: Slimy
Likes: Getting Dirty
Dislikes: Strong Currents
Harbourman was designed to maintain and repair underwater equipment and vessels. Harbour spends most of his time on the sea floor working on submerged pipelines, but also comes into the canal systems to maintain the underwater hydraulics. His spongey exterior is designed to soak up oil and grease from his worksites, but this often leaves his with a grimy exterior. He doesn't mind the extra weight, but the resulting smell of grime and sea salt can be quite unpleasant. Harbour can walk on land for short periods of time, but his sponge armour dries out quickly on hot days.
*smiling and pointing* Look at my two baby boys!! Harbour is getting a bit of a redesign and I took the opportunity to draw the two of them together. I need you all to understand, Harbour is SMALL! Just a tiny little guy! Cause Damsel is Short too, and Harbour is even smaller than him.
He needs to be small to squeeze into the tight little spaces to grease up hydraulics and gears. Just a little spongy guy covered in grease and grime. Workin underwater and just toddling along the bottom. and suction cupped to cement walls.
First pic on the new computer! Of course it has to be Damsel!
I promise one day I’ll actually draw his colours consistently, but I’m still messing around with which shade of blue I like better.
