So I’m a bit strapped for cash, with being a broke college kid and all, but I still need to make an enclosure for Toffee and get a climbing post for Damshe. I’ve been pondering this for a bit, and when I went to the store two days ago for feeders it hit me; those shitty hamster tubes!!!! My local petco has started selling loose tubes that you can mix and match to build your own tunnel system. Too bad they’re actually pretty dangerous for hamsters and other rodents because they can get stuck and stuff. But you know who can use them safely? SNAKES 😈
So I’m going to get a bunch of those tubes and build some really awesome enrichment for them! I can also change it up periodically so they always have new tunnels to explore! I’ll still use traditional hides but this is going to be so much fun!
Sir? Sir? Can I help you?
Damshe has officially replaced Mango as Naughtiest Noodle!
As of 3AM this morning Damshe got out of her enclosure, climbed up my dresser, and fell off! So combined with trying to swim in the betta tank yesterday, has been named Naughtiest Noodle~
(She was quickly recaptured and the locks on her tank put on properly)
The final boy to round out my collection, this is Seraph! He’s a cinna bee banana possible het clown that I bought back in November but due to weather/holidays just came in last week. He’s an absolute cutie, as much as I don’t really like the spider gene, I have to admit it’s beautiful when paired with banana.
He still has a lot of growing to do, he’s tiny boi at about 200 grams and is eight months old. I’m hoping that he grows enough to pair with Damshe, my female lemonblast, come the end of 2019, but we’ll see how things go! Pairing him with Mango, my banana spinner (blast?) is an option but I really don’t like the prospect of mating two spiders. Best case senario I’m hoping Damshe and Seraph produce a banana lemonblast male that I can pair to Mango in 2021.
