Dan’s 27th Birthday

I can barely believe that Dan’s 27 now but here we are. I don’t know how to draw or make gifs or make anything remotely resembling a birthday gift. So I’ll just say a few words instead.

Dan inspires me everyday. It never fails to surprise me just how much I owe to him even though we’ve never met. I made a lot of changes to my life this year. Changes that turned my life for the better and a lot of that was thanks to Dan. Thanks to Dan I realised that what I was going through was not just anxiety but also severe depression. I started taking medication and I’ve started to feel like myself for the first time in years.

The day after Dan posted his “live my truth” video, I cane out as bisexual to my two best friends. If you’d told the me from a year ago that I would get to the point where I told someone other than people on the internet that I’m bi, she would have burst laughing in my face.

Dan gives me the courage everyday to do what I never thought I would do. To push forwards even when I feel like everything holding me back. To start loving life again. To start appreciating myself a bit more.

There’s nothing more I wish right now then for this man to have the bestest birthday possible, surrounded by the people he loves. He deserves it for all that he’s done for us; all that I’m sure he’ll be doing in the future.
