It’s pet peeve of mine when there is a crew edit and every rider is nearly the same. They all dress the same, ride the same, have the same bike, and it all becomes really lackluster. This is definitely not the cause with the 3rd installment of the former Fit Trippin’ series. With a diverse cast ranging from BMX legend like Van Homan to someone as enigmatic as Pat King.
Often times it feels like certain riders in these type of edits don’t necessarily pull their own weight compared to the rest of the group for whatever reasons that but once again that definitely was not the case here. Everyone had around the same amount of presence throughout the video. It’s not even the status factor amongst the riders that are in disparity. Tom Perry doesn’t ride like Quincy Dean, Quincy Dean doesn’t ride like Dan Conway, and so on. There is a wide variety of that allows every one to come through and shine in their own way. There is the freecoaster, the sender, the pegless guy, the East Coast guy, and the dudes that 'grew up riding everything’. I don’t even have to name them for you know and that just shows the level of uniqueness each rider brought. Even someone like Van Homan and Shawn Mac can be likened but are entirely still different. With Stew Johnson behind the computer and camera you know this is top notch quality entertainment. When it comes to web edits, it rarely gets better than this.
TLDR: Different riders at the same spots provide good results.
