Dan: We are at a pre-game meeting of Team Canada at the very moment, as we are taking a look at Sidney Crosby and Macklin Celebrini having a little chat and a little scouting report going on. Is that Will Smith over there too?

Drew: Will Smith and Kris Letang. That's four pretty darn good hockey players.

Pittsburgh's in town. They've got the day off because they play Dallas tomorrow. And so, Sid and Kris, I just talked to them, they're going Christmas shopping.

Will and Macklin walk in, I mean, that's (giggles) you want to talk about then and now. But even, now, Letang and Crosby are still Letang and Crosby.

And then those two young guys-it's amazing- like, the relationship… Sid has already with Macklin. What a- and Will! Because Will and Macklin trained with Sid and Mackinnon this summer. It's awesome. I just get a big smile on my face watching these four guys just talk.

it looks like the blog entries got archived on 2012 jan 11 from pages 1-5 & 24-25 and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!!!

i think its because it archived all links available on page 1... you can navigate it like u would a normal page but expect fairly slow loading times . seems to have been run from 2007 to 2010! i could in theory track them down to the exact day (they reference games) but . i dont wanna . <3

Dan: I'm really kind of sad that Will's not playing in today's game because on the other side of the ice you got Adam Fantilli, who was drafted in the same draft one selection before he was. And it was an interesting decision that had to be made by Columbus as to whether they took Will or whether they took Fantilli, but at least the reports on Smith is that he's not seriously injured which is the good story.

Drew: Well, we talked to him a couple games ago, he looks good. He's skating now, before practice, which is good. He's working out which is good. He's on the right track. Again, better to have him miss a couple of weeks... maybe even extra week, now, than three months if that injury doesn't heal.

So, at this point, you know what, yeah, I'd like to have Will in because Will definitely has a different dimension and... he and Macklin are a dynamite duo, but if you got to keep extra 10 days, an extra two weeks, right now, so be it.

Dan: Well one thing that the injury did do was it gave the Sharks no choice but to recall Chernyshov and he's been just a great story so far.

Dan: But back to Macklin, I just think he can take the idea of maybe slowing the game down sometimes. Because that seems what Kucherov does.

Drew: Yeah, again, it goes back to the timing thing. But you know, I'm obviously very biased, but I don't look at Macklin's, I don't look at the way that the Sharks play right now and you're looking at Macklin to slow the game down.
