I would like to share our ultimate summer staycation experience in Danat Al Ain Resort. It’s around 1.5 hr away from our place here in Abu Dhabi. Taking a long drive takes you closer to the nature. Seeing the desert along the way and the ancient heritage within Al Ain city is so marvelous.
Reaching the property, we were welcomed by their staffs to help us with our luggage. The front desk is busy accommodating each and everyone however, still their service is fast and efficient. The lobby is actually on the 3rd floor which you might think its on the Ground floor because it’s way from the road is going up.
The SUITE:
After we settled from the reception, we were given an Executive Suite an upgraded room from the original one which was supposed to be a Premium Room. Our room is in the 1st floor and very close to Arabesque restaurant. We were left with awed and amusement! Our room is way too much for us to fully enjoy our stay. There’s a separate kitchenette on your left with a big refrigerator not a mini but the normal size. It’s equipped with microwave, tea/coffee facility, clean sink and cabinets and drawers. Now, back to the hallway, on your right is a wooden cupboard with sliding doors for keeping your shoes/slippers, clothes, shoe shine facility, forms and bags for laundry and some snacks. A full mirror is hanged on the wall outside the kitchenette part.
Now moving inside, the floor will be fully carpeted starting from the living room where the dining area also is included, until to the bedroom. Bedroom is entirely separate from the living room. The best part is, both are having balcony exits. You’ll have access straight outside to the garden. Lovely isn’t it? The balcony door is a glass sliding door covered with 2 kinds of curtain. One is light and the other is thick. In the balcony you have a table there where you can enjoy to sit down and relax with the green scenery and the chirping birds flying around. Going back to the living room, it’s having everything you need there. Having another TV set aside from the one in the bedroom is pretty awesome right? Comfortable sofa set with center glass table having tissue box and magazine on top and a separate arm chair set is also there. Another big mirror on the wall beside the TV and some books to read about the resort, menu and writing materials. On the left corner is the dining table.
Now in the bedroom, its a king size bed with clean and comfortable bedsheets and pillows. Its facing the TV set having exactly the same set-up in the living room. In the drawer of the writing table the hair-dryer can be found.
The bathroom and the closet are attached to each other creating a small hallway and making it as a dressing area having a full mirror on the bathroom’s wall outside it. Inside the closet you’ll find the iron with stand, hangers, slippers and the safe deposit box. The bathroom is fully equipped with toiletries, towels and bathrobe. Toiletries are environmental friendly and some are organic. The suite is with controlled AC which if you open the balcony door it will automatically turn off.

Spa – they have a very inviting aromatic scent once you enter the spa/massage treatment area. This place has 3 rooms and have an extra one in the 2nd floor if full just like when I went there to try their spa. In the reception of the spa there’s a detox drink that you can take before or after your treatment. It’s a mixture of lemon, cucumber and herbs.
So inside the massage room in the 2nd floor there are 2 kinds of bed. The one on the floor and the normal one. A changing room is available inside for you. My masseur was Cynthia from Philippines who’s been loyal working in Danat Al Ain for a decade now. While I was changing my wardrobe, the instrumental medidating music started playing and the AC was put to the appropriate temperature for massaging.
We decided to do the Aromatherapy since I came from a long drive and really busy days for me. This makes you relax and rejuvenate afterwards. She used the Blue Ginger oil for this and before starting, she made a health issue checked and then proceed. She’s one of the talented masseur that I have met and definitely her experience has helped a lot to achieve this. All the strokes she used and pressure she applied all together made my body fully relaxed and energised. She gave me the detox drink after the session and I went back to the room happily.
