2024 : A Year of Humbleness
Early this year, the word ‘humbleness’ entered my consciousness. I thought ‘ok I know what it means’. But this same word has been loud in my mind. From time to time, I had been searching the meaning of it on the net. Then, I heard someone said “the person who reads the word of God knows what humbleness means” and that very day, I started reading the bible again. My life was still the same as I continuously read it but what changed is how I view my life. I did experienced a lot of pain. God is stretching me here and there. As painful as it is but it is the kind of pain that feels right. I learned how to surrender my wants, my needs, my plans, etc. I had plans. A lot of it failed. But thats when I truly understand humbleness. God is humbling me. At first, I became very bitter. But as I read His words, I felt that God is talking to me personally. I had a lot of questions but one thing is so clear.. He loves me so much! That those failures, He let it happened to pull me back on the path He wants me to walk into.
Looking back, I realized how much pride I had. What I rely on is myself. I know I can. I know I can do anything without any help from others. I know how to plan. But God let those plans failed until I learned how to surrender it all to Him.
Still in the process… And I will start another year stronger in faith!
