If I ever have children, I'm going to leave an artificially aged treasure map lying around. The treasure map will lead my spawn to the backyard, where they will dig up an ornate, jeweled (well, bedazzled), ancient sea chest and unlock it with a golden key that I keep on the mantelpiece. Inside that chest will be stacks and stacks of outdated SAT study guides.
That will teach them to expect disappointment, and also helpful tips and tricks for acing the SAT.
