Now Playing: Like A G6 - Far Eastern Movement
(inspired by: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9K2GnieR68)
The group positioned themselves in a horizontal line facing Mr. King and the other group, waiting patiently for the music to start. As the chorus blared throughout the studio, they began to walk forward slowly, moving their arms from the sides to the center in scooping, paddling motions. Each movement had a ticking to it, making the movement almost robotic. The movements went on for the rest of the chorus, the group marching forward, popping their shoulders and their hips as they did. Once the verse started, they stood in place, taking a step-cross-step motion from their spot. They then grabbed the hooks on their pants and hopped forward, bouncing their shoulders to the beat of the music. They slowly leaned backwards, pumping their chests in three solid beats. As they rose back up to stand straight, they each did a top rock, setting the pace for their next move.
The group slid sidewards, splitting into two, revealing Jules in the middle, spinning around, doing her contemporary ballet movements. The group turned sidewards once more, making them now face one another. They walked closer to each other, shuffling their feet, until the two guys were paired off with the two girls. They proceeded to grind with one another, moving intricately, sensually, but making sure that they weren't actually touching one another. Laila broke off the pairs as she walked in between them, the others sliding off as she brushed them aside. They walked off to their spots once more, lining up in a V formation. They bobbed their head dropped their chest in rhythmic beats, almost in unison, slowly moving closer to the ground.
Stuttering
Now Playing: Stuttering - Mario
Schue woke up early that day, if you could even call it waking up. He had been tossing and turning on his bed, lots of thoughts racing across his head. Everything had just been slowly eating into his soul and he just couldn't take it anymore. He just felt annoyed at himself for his stupidity and his actions. He pondered how someone like him had changed in such a short amount of time, but ended up just filling himself with more self loathing that was necessary. So at around quarter to six, he took his iPod and some speakers and made his way quietly to the roof, careful not to wake anyone as he made his way.
He shut the door as he finally emerged upstairs, taking a whiff of the cool morning breeze. Man, that felt good. Of course, when you're running on around three hours of sleep, almost everything felt good. He placed the speakers on top of the beat up table and scrolled through the various playlists in search of a song. He had always practiced on the roof when dancing, mostly because his room was always too cramped and he hadn't tried dancing elsewhere other than the street. Though ever since he had a taste of dancing in a studio, similar to the one Ash had at her place and the one he and Erin had practiced in, he realized how much the roof lacked. For one, the sound of his surroundings would interfere with his music. Another thing was the lack of mirrors. Even if he did have amazing steps, he couldn't really see himself from every angle. So he had to settle for that one full length mirror hanging by the wall. He shrugged to himself, shaking off his arms as he waited for the music to play.
As the music started, he cocked his head left and right, matching every 'oh' of the music, moving only his head at first, but then following suit with a roll of his shoulders, then with small sideward steps. He pointed forward, then shuffled his feet forward, adding a certain swagger to his movements, pausing every few seconds to make his moves sharper.
So at the most, baby we might play the silent game...
He tiptoed his right foot before pushing himself off to the left, gliding across the floor as he did so. He adjusted his movement so that he slid across the floor in a box motion. As he reached his starting point, he hopped forward and stretched his arms forward, freezing for a couple of seconds. He pulled his hands closer to him in a wave like motion, left one first then the right one, with his body moving similarly as it waved downwards. He moved his body lower, squatting now, before slightly jumping and then dropping to the floor in an indian sitting position.
I don't even know...
Still sitting on the floor, he began popping his shoulders back and forth. He slowly pushed himself up with his feet, moving carefully as to not topple over. Once he was high enough, he spun himself around, arms in an L-shaped motion as he did, finally regaining his initial standing position. Keeping his arms up, he snapped his fingers, swaying to the music, his motions relaxed, almost calm. The calmness wasn't entirely a good thing, since it worked against him keeping his mind off of things. The fuck was he doing with his life now? He had been too caught up with his own selfishness, that he didn't really consider much how other people might have felt about it. But it was all going to end soon. He would make things right. Then he would suck it up and work his ass off. Maybe it was a good thing that there was a new dance director. That way, he had someone to push him once he got complacent and lazy. At the very least, his involvements would hopefully keep him busy enough. As the chorus kicked in, he moved and did the same motions he did at the start of the song. And just like that, he was lost in the music.
