Soldiers Report on Juding at "The Ultimate StreetDance Competition" Swanley
First off I would like to Salute and say Thank You as I am Truly Blessed to be Marching with some great people that show love and support me where they can but also inspire me to March Strong as they also do their own thing marching hard on their own missions which inspire and help others progress and develop on life!
These people are:
Glenn Fisher: Dance Domain
Marvin Always Forever Dance
Had an amazing day; judged some really amazing talented up and coming individuals
A Word to all the competitors keep training and marching hard, whether you came 1st or didn't place that is not accomplishment but what you learnt about yourself as a dancer, what to work on, how you can do this and coming together with your fellow team mates and even your competition to learn and develop as one. We're all here for the same reason because we love and have a passion for Movement to Music! So think about how we can take it to the next level not how we're gonna beat that next person. All forms of Hip-Hop dance is social and the first thing I Look for when judging is your vibe and the positive energy you give off when moving with and to the music, as that is what keeps my attention then I look at the techniqual and steps side of your presentation. Every Judge has their system but guarantee 9/10 that is the first thing they go for even if they don't know what it is why they like your moves it most likely because of the great energy you give off BEING YOU (not trying to give us something you think will impress us!!!)
Saw two great performances from "Chuck" one of the judges whether you call him crazy or stupid the guys got talent! And the 1st Female Soloist on Got 2 Dance 13yrs Belle Fisher who is a real little Soldier in the making on her MarchHard which even inspires me to do what I want to do and full-fill my Dreams! Salute to you both, very entertaining performances and make sure you vote for Belle on the 26th Feb 2012 ;)
Big Shout out to Gilly who was also Judging with us, love his energy and truthful but always positive feedback on his decisions and opinion of the dance scene and how he is Marching to teach the new generation the best bits of the old skool ways
The Dance Domain team that help and run the competition I salute you as it is a long day and even though they may complain they are very professional when dealing with us and their work!
