I wanted to write an update before I post my end of the day stats because even though it’s Friday, I was in my PJs before 7 and totally ready for bed before 8 PM. I have to beat the heat tomorrow morning for my 10 mile long run, that may just end up being 11 miles if I’m feeling like it! We’ll see when we get to mile 5 whether I do another half a mile, or if I turn back.
Even though I woke up 15 minutes late and was unable to get as many pre-work steps as I usually do, I was able to get a lot of steps during the day, as well as getting a lot of work done. Because the boyfriend had to run to another town to get a game from Game Stop, we decided to hit Dairy Queen before Mars steals all the M&Ms away from blizzards.
Knowing my meals for the day included an M&M blizzard, I decided to keep my calories low during the day. I had my regular breakfast, and apple and a special K chocolate pretzel bar as snacks, and soup for lunch. Having heat and eat soup made it so I could also take a longer lunch walk! I was over 10,000 steps before I was done with work for the day! That’s huge! I also was able to say no to two different types of sweet rolls someone brought in because hey it’s Friday. That felt really good. Where was that determination 2 weeks ago? Oh well.
We went up to Game Stop, hit the Walmart that shares a parking lot to get eggs and bananas (and my boyfriend got the sweetest 4th of July shirt ever) and that was like a trip through my personal hell. First of all, Walmart. No. Second, it was crazy busy, long lines, too many people, and third, they were playing Nickleback. I mean come on. It was like this is a parody of my nightmares.
We went to DQ and I got a small M&M blizzard and a burger for dinner. 100% in calorie budget on a rest day! Not the most well rounded nutrient-wise, but I am happy with how the day ended up. I had a plan and stuck to it!
