Dance means many things for many people, but for me dance is an integral part of my life. I started learning dance from the age of 4 and I have never stopped since then. The styles that I learn have definitely changed, but it hasn’t moved out of my life and it never will. For me dance is an outlet to be free, express myself, relax and take a break from my daily life schedule.
Whenever I am in a dance class, I feel like a different person, I feel like I have come to a very special place and that I don’t want to leave that feeling. A dance class is a place, where you don’t need to think about who is watching you or how you are dancing, it is about just feeling the music, learning the steps and enjoying one’s self.
The variety of styles that I have learnt vary from Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern Dance, Contemporary Dance, and Bollywood. I have also taken a few Zumba classes which I also enjoyed thoroughly.
I enjoyed all of my classes over the years, but the one that is closest to my heart is SDIPA, the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts.
