Live As Though

From my Great Aunt Anna's photo albums

I never knew my Great Aunt Anna. When I inherited her photos and her diaries, I investigated her by looking and reading and imagining. I feel as though the young woman, the woman whose life is evidenced in the above photo, is vivid to me. She never married and never had children. Perhaps she, particularly, is living again through me.

So I just danced my way home. That's what happens when a good song plays and I have too much sugar in me :P

This fun loving couple was a delight to work with. We can tell they enjoyed every minute of their day together and the weather could not have been more perfect!

We loved how Maddie and her bridesmaids bouquets were so vibrant and full of color. The Groom wore a navy blue suit with a pink paisley tie which matched perfectly to our blooming rhododendron.

This couple had such a fun time with both friends and family and really enjoyed the mansion to its fullest with cocktails and dancing on the terrace and dining in the ballrooms. Their amazing photographer Zach Wolf found some fantastic “nooks” on our grounds that resulted in breathtaking photos.  Enjoy a glimpse into Maddie and Will’s fantastic wedding day!

Featured Wedding – Will and Maddie, May 30, 2015 This fun loving couple was a delight to work with. We can tell they enjoyed every minute of their day together and the weather could not have been more perfect!

Joy was one of those brides who knew what she wanted. She came to tour the Mansion, loved it, and booked us (and her caterer) practically on the spot!  On the day of her wedding she was exactly as her name, so joyful and excited to marry Brian. This lovely couple had a beautiful ceremony on our vista on a bright and sunny May day.

Her color scheme was pinks of all shades, corals, oranges,and white. The colors were represented in the rose petals on the aisle, in the bouquets her girls carried, and in the place setting on the tables. She also had some really fun personal touches like a special draft beer as a favor for every guest, and a pizza bar for a late night snack.  Yum!  Congratulations to the happy couple!
