Omg yes Steph that is the point of glasses now you know my struggle. Also for Kemp in Young Frankenstein I had to wear an eyepatch and my depth perception was shot to shit I kept running into curtains it was hilarious. Also they look good :)

I have thought about this before. Like I'll be imagining conversations and attempting to figure out how elves would swear because I think that, especially some of them, definitely would a fair amount.

But there are other fanmade movies in tolkienverse. Why is it this that they're saying they can't make if its not for profit?

I don't know. My personal guess would be that there was something in PJ's contract that no one else could produce a movie based on Tolkien's work at the same time as him.

It also seems like the Tolkien Estate is also more protective of The Silmarillion than other things so that might be part of it. 

Personally, i'm more than all in favor of fan movies. I think fans have the most respect for the text and do it the most justice.
