“Here, let’s share the blanket.”

Carson scooted across the couch until she was right next to her sister. She situation the blanket so that it was over both of them and leaned her head against Carter’s shoulder. She wasn’t having a very good day and her twin, of course, had picked up on that. They totally had that twin telepathy thing. Carson heaved a heavy sigh and closed her eyes. “Today sucks...” She mumbled. She didn’t feel one hundred percent better, and probably wouldn’t be in a good mood for the rest of the day, but being next to her sister made her feel better than she’d felt on the other end of the couch. Carter could always make her feel better, no matter the situation. 

"Shush and go back to bed."

“But I heard something...” Carson whispered back, her eyes wide and trained on their closed bedroom door. From her past experiences, things that went boom in the middle of the night were never good and she couldn’t just ignore them and go back to sleep. It didn’t matter that their father was dead and couldn’t cause trouble anymore. That didn’t mean that their new “family” couldn’t do something. “I’m going to go look.” She told Carter, pulling back the blankets. Her sister could go back to bed if she wanted but Carson wasn’t going to be able to until she found out what was making noise downstairs.

well technically harry got his hogwarts letter before he officially turned 11, so maybe its the same for someone if their bday was the first day of school??

truee but isn’t that also bc they needed the letter saying if he was going or not by his actual birthday?? i mean that makes more sense since it was close enough to his 11th but i thought they waited that long to see if they had enough magic or smth??
