Hi, I'm sorry to bother you but would you be able to direct me to any source arthurian texts where the name dindrane is first given to percival's sister? I really liked her character in the vulgate and malory but she isn't named in either so I was wondering where the name originated. Thank you so much!
Hello! No bother at all.
The name comes from Perlesvaus (The High Book of the Grail) and there it's spelled Dandrane.
You're welcome and take care!

do you ship them? I don't dislike them but I don't ship them. is this your OTP for those characters? No. You all probably know what my Galahad otp is. (I'll give you a hint: it starts with Galahad/M and it ends with ordred). what do you like/dislike about this pairing? I like the idea that both Galahad and Dindrane are very innocent but my mind never got interested in Dindrane enough to take her away from the Grail story, so I suppose I still feel a little irritated by her religiousity. And the only time I managed to write a different Dindrane she was her own woman and I could not ship her with anyone. when did you start shipping them? I never started, actually. I sort of started to notice the pairing because of Gabbiebii. your favourite and least favourite portrait of this couple in novels/fanfictions. My favourite portrait in novels is in Persia Woolley. Their story is very sad and we only read a few pages about it, but it was still very touching and it seemed like a real Galahad/Dindrane love and not a way to reach the Grail or something. Galahad and Dindrane are rare characters (especially Dindrane) and I don't read enough about them to decide of a least favourite potrait. what is your favourite art and /or song you associate with this pairing? Nothing D: a headcanon about them YES. My Dindrane headcanon is very silly. It's from a humor fanfic about Galahad&Mordred being BFFs and leaving for Camelot to look for the Grail (Mordred wants the Grail only because it is gold and money). And they meet Dindrane. Who is actually a thief and not at all Perceval's sister (but Perceval is so naive that he believes her). Dindrane is this sort of sneaky thief woman who wants the Grail and, at the end, obtains it. I still have to decide if it will be Galahad/Dindrane or Galahad/Mordred or gen, so this is not exactly a Galahad/Dindrane headcanon but just a Dindrane's one.

Day Ten: Galahad and Dandrane
1. Do you ship them
No.
2. Is this your OTP pairing for these characters
No.
3. Why do you like/dislike this pairing
Once again, I have nothing against them. They just don't interest me. I have better ships-- headcanon crack!ships I find more interesting for both characters. Those... no shipping for these two.
4. When did you start shipping them
Never.
5. Favorite and least favorite portrayal of this pairing
They were cute in Nancy McKenzie's Grail Prince. If they're going to be a couple, I'd want them to be portrayed the way they are in the Grail Prince.
6. Favorite song associated with this pairing
I've got nothing.
7. One headcanon about this pairing
Again... I've got nothing. I don't even really see them being much more than acquaintances whose path cross a couple times. I know they're important to each other in the legends, but in my head they're just not that interested in each other.
