Shelly Fossilian. Catalyst second best blacksmith.
Affinity: Metal
Daughter of a lizardman and a mystocraft. Holds a passion for ancient artifacts, weapons, and various old technologies. More a kin to a hobby however as she rarely leaves the city. Cuburt sends her a handful of different souvenirs and pieces of history that may interest her every year.
As I said before, she's Cuburts first and closest friend. One of the few people hes ever met who knows and doesn't care about his three affinities or that one of them is darkness.
I'm very glad this specific Shelly design was well received.
More than once, I've seen people make Shelly the actual ammonite instead of the shell and its usually a war between people who do and dont like it. I've always found it interesting and wanted to try it myself.
I noticed @fizzyboy's new Au, Dandy's Dungeons on his latest blog, @fizzthewizz-ard, and I'd like to contribute in some way. So I decided to have my ocs join in. Now remember, none of this is canon unless Fizzy agrees to it.
All art is done by my friend @vain-vigilant
I will first start with Sir Valiant, one of Connie's uncles and the elder brother of the king by 1 year. He was the crown prince, but rejected the title of king because he did not have the skills of the current king. Instead, he chose to become a knight of the kingdom.
Knight class
He has no magic affinities. He mainly uses his muscles anyway.
He is tasked with finding Connie after she goes on the quest with Cubert, but gets sidetracked when he meets Vespa.
Next is Hoodie, Connie's other uncle, who is younger than the king by 5 years (The youngest). He was kicked out of the royal family after committing theft against his own family in a futile attempt to get his parents' attention. Now he lives like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and corrupt and giving to the poor.
Rogue class (Archer + thief)
He lives in a cave close to a village that knows and likes him. He lives in a cave due to his 2 magic affinities. Dark and light. You see the problem? When he usually tries to use his magic, it blows up in his face, literally.
Lastly, there is Vespa, an orphan of a noble family who was killed by bandits. She would wander the lands alone, struggling to survive by herself, until she was found by Sir Valiant, and with the help of a woman who allowed them into her home, nursed her to health, and took her back to the kingdom.
She can talk to wasps and has plant magic affinity.
She is shy, so I don't think she was thrilled about this first thing.
Brightney is not a mystocraft or a even a mortal being. She's something thats been around for a long LONG time for reasons only known to herself. She met Cuburt during his second year of adventuring and taught him the very basics of runes. Just the basics.
"Teaching you everything would be boring and a waste of YOUR time. Figure it out, it'll be fun!"
I know I said shes aware of the fourthwall, but i'm not gonna use that in the story much.
Her design is intentionally simple as she was not creative enough to make fancy clothes.
I'm not gonna talk about her back story yet [Its half-baked]. Just understand how shes not a cruel leader. But still not a great person in the long run. She does care for her subordinates and colleagues, but any outside The Assembly that interferes with their work will always be dealt with little mercy
While she very rarely leaves the homebase, she plans to "meet" with Cuburt personally the first chance she gets. For reasons.
wait does Dungeons Bassie have dandelions in her basket?? that's a really nice touch
(P.S. sorry if this somehow sent once incomplete, my PC bugged and idk if it sent my original message or not, sorry!)
