loves cuddles. loves kisses. loves affection so long as its from you honestly- youre like. his favorite person and theres no better way to make him feel like the center of the universe than to give him some loving!

the big and little spoon thing doesnt really exist between you two.. you both kind of just cling onto each other and call it cuddling..! when its with you behind closed doors he doesnt really feel the need to conform to roles

i believe in chubby dandy supremacy. hes soft, hes warm. hes kinda got that gardener/farmer build about him that shows off that hes built study underneath... overall a nice feel AND he smells nice! hes a flower afterall!

ASTRO

big spoon, little spoon, strewn over one another... it doesnt matter to him! any cuddling is good cuddling although be warned that hes most certainly going to fall asleep at some point... maybe you planned to take a nap too, in which case... get to sleep!

ive mentioned it before but he smells like lavender and jasmine, its hard to stay awake for long when youre cuddling into his blanket... nice and soft and warm and fuzzy and ooouguugh.... you cant help but to shove your face into the fuzz

and his room... oh his room is perfect cuddling setting- nice and ambient and comfortable, not too stuffy or dark or bright

VEE

cuddling? yeah.... not really her thing... physical affection is something shes picky with anyway, so its no surprise that cuddling isnt really something shes all that interested in. but if you ask nicely she might just humor you!

they sometimes have to angle their head awkwardly to make sure the corners dont poke you in the eye... its not exactly a comfortable fit for either of you and it leaves her neck sore if she holds the pose for too long

runs a little warm and she has a vague buzz to her like how some older tvs vibrate... not terrible, actually, if thats something you like

SHELLY

vaguely smells like dirt but like. in the good nature way. like she just got back from running around in nature. nice and earthy... its hard to be mad at it! shes a little cold to the touch, id imagine shells arent very warm

but shes eager to lay down with you and snuggle under some blankets if her lack of body heat isnt too much of a problem... she takes a page from poppys book and makes a blanket fort for you guys to hide under

its so nice and cozy under the blankets, no matter how hard you both try to stay awake you eventually both succumb- sleepy conversation eventually go quiet

SPROUT

also giving sprout the honorary "he puts himself between you and the door while you guys sleep out of a need to be a barrier to protect you should something happen" headcanon. hes protective, are you really that surprised? its just something to give him some peace of mind

his scarf is nice and soft, and he smells of strawberries and whatever hes baked that day.. usually cupcakes.. sweet and sugary.. sometimes its a little much though

always always big spoon, he doesnt really budge on it unless you ask nicely and hes feeling particularly warn and in need of some loving

Bassie 🧺

After you twist she probably won't be going on anymore runs for at least a week, not wanting to see her lover disfigured and violent.

She pulls herself together eventually in the name of fulfilling her duty as a main, since they became "leaders" of sorts after the shutdown.

She has to do her part.

When she does encounter you again, she regrets her decisions, but she pulls through on doing her job anyways.

She's very... bittersweet, about you not being violent towards her.

Sometimes she wishes you were passive to everyone, that way maybe she could bring you back up with some convincing to the others.

Other times she wishes you'd just be violent to her like everyone else, so she didn't have to know that part of you was still alive and in pain.

That thought makes her sick, knowing you're still there under the violent haze.

Once she gets used to it (as much as she can), she'll often try her best to avoid the others when she finds you in hopes that you won't hurt anyone.

She's had to try and hold you back from hurting the others when you see them, which messed with her emotionally more than she'd like to admit. She can't handle seeing you so violent.

She usually lets you trail behind her without complaint. If she isn't doing anything important she might slow down to walk beside you instead, trying to get some sense of normalcy from the whole situation.

If you aren't super covered in ichor she'll touch you occasionally, holding your hand or running hers over your face so long as it doesn't hurt.

She's cried in front of your twisted self more than once after looking at you for too long. if you try to comfort her it usually just makes her feel worse.

The situation tears her apart from the inside, but there isn't much she can do about it except keep going.

Bobette 🎄

She's much better than Bassie at putting on a brave face, though she'll still take a day or two to go on runs again after you twist.

She'll start going on runs again before she's had time to mentally recover, pushing her feelings down to make sure she's helping the others as usual.

Her initial reaction to seeing you is outwardly calm, she doesn't freak out or break down or anything like that.

When she encounters you alone and realizes you have enough clarity not to hurt her, thats when she almost cries. almost.

She'll seek you out whenever you appear on a floor.

If you have a hand that can be touched without hurting you, she'll walk around with you holding hands until she finds a machine to work on.

As much as it pains her to know you're still somewhat aware of yourself, all she can really think about is how strong you have to be to recognize her.

She takes a weird feeling of pride knowing that her lover is tough enough for that.

She indulges in your recognition a bit selfishly. Even if you won't, she doesn't want you to leave her side.

You following her around and watching her do things brings her a sense of peace knowing that you're with her, even if the circumstances are unpleasant.

She feels bad for leaving you behind, but she knows she can't risk hurting the others by trying to bring you along.

She considers herself lucky for still getting to have your company, some of the other toons aren't as fortunate with their loved ones.

Overall she acclimates to the situation pretty quickly and loves you all the same, she just wishes you wouldn't hurt the others.

Plus dyle! including bassie and bobette! i figured that itd be weird, a blog centered around writing x reader stuff, didnt do a little something something for the valentines season- and while i cant say for sure how much ill be writing with my still being swamped in work... id feel bad if i didnt at least try! notes: gn toon reader, can be seen as pre or post shut down, note that the admin is not well versed in flowers and their symbolism but he tried!, vee purposefully does not have an image, short bite sized post cws: none

DYLE

Dyle strikes me as the kind of toon to seek out roses for his lover, though if there was anything in specific that you might want over a bundle of roses he's more than happy to supply it!

he has more than enough time to look into the meanings behind flowers, once that stage is inplemented into your relationship know that each bouquet will be carefully crafted for you to untangle

never gives you a comically large bouquet. hes not... entirely... a show off... but it wont be tiny either

BASSIE

her entire thing is flowers! so of course Bassie is going to put something together for you during the valentines season- or... whatever season she sees you, if you're not an easter toon like her

shes like THE expert on flower meanings, like Dyle she's going to be putting meaning into her bouquets. colors and species and so on. though she tends to gravitate towards the traditional easter flowers. daffodils and daisies and lilies and so on. but shes not limiting herself to that

also not massive bouquets, but with how intricate and thought out they are theyre easily eye catchers- youre sure to have a few envious eyes sent your way

BOBETTE

Poinsettia! That's like one of THE christmas flowers, so of course there's going to be an abundance of those hanging around... and who wouldn't like some of these beauties? they're gorgeous!

she primarily gives you the red ones but im sure if she can get her hands on the white ones she'll add them in for some extra pop of color! will aim to get you the really big ones if she can

speaking of big... you can bet that shes going to go overboard and spoil you with the size, you might need an extra hand to help you carry the thing off

DANDY

if he could he'd get you flowers that look like him but thats a litte egotistical, dont you think? a bit vain? besides, those arent real flowers... so daisies it is! close enough, even if they arent rainbow colored like him!

oh he WILL give you as many as he can tie together, the poor petals might be just about crushing one another with how tightly packed they are in the parchment he's wrapped around the stems

will do a variety bunch, turns out daisies can come in all sorts of pretty colors! and hes going to get his hands on as many of them as he can just to impress you

SHELLY

flowers arent exactly her field of expertise, its not exactly a fossil... but shellys always open to learning something new! and besides... if it means giving you a little reminder of how much you mean to her? then it would be worth every minute trying to find the perfect flower to choose for you!

she eventually settles on magnolias- its a little funny isnt it, theyre appearently one of the oldest surviving flowers, they've been around for millions of years! so of course shellys gonna gravitate towards them, and the fact theyre a good for bouquets is just an extra bonus!

gives a modest collection, can easily fit in your hand but thats mostly because she doesnt want it to be too much for you

SPROUT

now hear me out on this one: Sprout would give you flowers if thats something that youre interested in. but otherwise? he feels like flowers are a little too basic to show how much he cares about you. everyone gives their partner flowers! its an easy option!

so... he adds a bit of a twist, thanks to yatta making an off hand comment about candy. candy apple roses! theyre pretty, and theyre delicious!

candy apples not being your thing? that's fine too! he's already got the molds, he can make cake pops that look like roses, or hearts. a bouquet of treats lovingly hand crafted... now doesnt that sound nice?

ASTRO

moonflowers, theyre a given but theyre pretty. irony aside, he felt like turning to something common like roses or tulips was a bit too predictable. of course, he already knows your favorite flowers, and theyre going to be there too, but... its nice to have a little personal nod

another one to the "modest bouquet size" club, he doesnt want to overwhelm you with too much and if he can help it hes going to pass off the bundle to you when its just the two of you- mostly for his sake... hes not really one for PDA...

oh he WILL leave a nice note. they all will, but astro goes the extra mile to make sure its REALLY heartfelt even if hes not the most eloquently spoken toon.... writing is easier anyway...

VEE

see the interesting this about Vee is that she doesn't look like she really cares all that much in the moment. she's got that blunt and cold exterior, and being made up of code makes it hard to give in to softness- let alone express it

she knows she can give you the basic flowers, the same bouquet that everyones probably getting from their partner on valentines day thatll probably within a few days in some vase. she could pacify you with a rose but whats the fun in that when shes got so much information catalouged?

she does listen to you, even if sometimes her nonchalnce doesnt feel like it- her questions for more information may sound like straightforward ice breakers but she's probing for information and saving it into her systems

if you dont outright say what your preferred flowers are shes running all sorts of schemes to figure it out from what shes learned. if that fails shes not above just outright asking, even if it means spoiling the surprise

Guys imma be so real idk what to put in these notes esp since I'm writing these posts back to back In one sitting p much- nothing of note is really happening but I hate leaving it blank

honestly its going to take a long... long time... for him to grow fully confident in kissing you- he just doesnt want to be weird about it or think he doesnt really... know what hes doing

he was hopeless in the beginning so youd have to take charge, but he does get the hang of things after a while, trust!

definitely the type to squeeze his eyes shut really tight, and waaaay too early... might smack his face against yours... likes kissing you where you like to be kissed- just say where!

COSMO

similarly to cosmo he prefers if you told him where you want to be kissed- he doesnt have anywhere in specific where he likes to aim! well... okay thats not entirely true, he does like giving you kisses on the cheek when his hands are busy

he... of course... smells and tastes like chocolate- dont bite him though because hes... probably not going to let you get close enough to do it again if its like... an earnest attempt to get some of his face

he doesnt like kissing you when theres other people around- hes shy about PDA, but he doesnt mind giving you a peck when theres people around hes close with

FINN

the quickest way to make him shut up is to pepper his face with kisses- hes going to be so taken aback that it makes him cut the puns... and it works everytime! definitely has that sheepish dorky string of giggles the entire time

he sometimes gets a little too excited and clinks his glass against your teeth and it... hurts... obviously... he always always always feels awful for it- you dont think youve ever heard someone shoot out such a quick string of apologies

as mentioned in the pocky post his mouth is kinda... 2d... the best he can do is press the location against you and make a sound

GLISTEN

again, hes another one with the "2d mouth" problem- but he only makes the "mwah" sound if youre having a bad day and need something extra- just to get a smile out of you

thankfully though he doesnt clink you with his glass- hes far more careful and he doesnt want to ruin his makeup either! and he doesnt mind kissing around others all that much, its just a peck its nothing scandalous

likes being kissed on the back of his hand... makes him feel a certain way.. special... hes not picky when it comes to your affection but the hand kisses always make his heart flutter

GOOB

definitely giggles into the kiss- sometimes it can be hard to have a more serious intimate moment but hes just so cute... you can never really be angry over it! 100% if he had a tail it would be wagging like mad behind him

you have to mind his teeth though, youve definitely been left with at least one nick on your lips... never enough to bleed but its definitely something to watch out for

he loooooooooves wrapping his arms around you during kisses- and he loves all sorts of placements. forehead, cheek, mouth, ect. youre sure if he wore lipstick youd be painted in his preferred color within a few short minutes

LOOEY

poor thing... another 2d mouther... he'd be an awkward kisser anyway, he doesnt want to be too much but he doesnt want to make you think hes not into it- its best you show him what you want

he does think its a little funny if you lightly squish his head in your hands when you cup his cheeks for the kiss- it doesnt really bother him since its never a tight squeeze, he sees the humor in it

....he does smell like a balloon though... rubber... latex... hopefully you dont mind the smell all that much, especially so up close

RAZZLE

love love loves giving you a kiss on the cheek whenever he sees you! its quick, so its so much easier for him to give you one in passing when he and dazzle need to be somewhere quick

he likes to kiss you as a greeting and parting, hes a bit corny but sometimes a kiss is so much more welcoming than simply saying hello!

and if you asked him where he preferred to be kissed hed tell you where ever you think feels right... in reality he loves getting forehead kisses

DAZZLE

he likes kissing the back of your hand, its a little more... intimate... but its sweet, and he likes taking his time with it... though that does deny him the chance to really give you some loving in passing like razzle does

he also does the hand kisses as a greeting and parting- he was... a little shy and clunky about it in the beginning but its become so natural by now that you instinctually offer him your hand the moment youre within each others bubbles

he likes... being kissed on the cheek... its nice... he doesnt like pda all that much though...

RODGER

he has no mouth so he needs to be a little creative about it... and creativity stops short in the form of simply pressing where his mouth would be to you. he unfortunately does not make a "mwah" sound he doesnt really see the point in it nor does it cross his mind

LOVES "kissing" the back of your hand and knuckles, and he will maintain eye contact as he takes your hand in his to get the act done

he doesnt really like pda though- he likes to maintain some look of professionalism in front of the others... and there arent many places on his face to kiss him... :(

SHRIMPO

he thinks its stupid.

anyways hes definitely the type to roughly grab you and slam himself against you- not all that pleasant actually. your teeth knock up against each other and it hurts. he smells like shrimp. kinda of sweaty too. not surprising considering hes always fuming. hes really rough too and it all happens so fast that youre kind of left reeling as he storms off

he really likes giving you a nice big kiss on the cheek whenever you let him- and hes going to do it regardless of what company you guys are sporting. MAYBE he wont do it in front of the handlers, but know hes going to sneak one as soon as he can

as for where he likes being kissed...? his forehead is a nice place to start if you wanna see him get giddy over you! he could never turn down your attention!

SHELLY

ohohoho kissing is nice! it might not be her first means of giving affection but she loves kissing you! gets this giddy grin before she makes contact

she doesnt mind kissing you in front of others... the only reason she doesnt do it is because she doesnt want to make you uncomfortable if thats not something you enjoy

she likes kissing you on the cheeks and mouth... definitely holds your hands in hers during it too... likes being kissed wherever you see fit

she cant really... kiss you... her face is a screen- there isnt really a physical mouth for her to really... kiss you... sure she can boink her screen against your face but its not really... efficient

of course youre free to kiss her as much as you like, but just know that they dont really do much for her emotionally. she prefers other means of showing off affection- but she commends you for your effort

no, hand holding... gift giving... verbal words mean a lot more to her than kissing ever could- something something "she cant properly experience it so it doesnt mean much to her" thing going on

SPROUT

he is SO desperate to have you around. there arent a lot of toons who go out of their way to talk to him these days. much less hang out with him. hes trying SO hard to fix things--- thankfully you seem to see how hard hes trying to make it work

you go down to collect ichor for him, and in turn he makes sure you get first dibs on his better items. he still gets anxious when you dont buy anything from him, even after he discounts things HEAVILY for you... please do reassure him that you WANT his help but you just dont have the space to carry anything else with you for the time being. it helps... a lot. who knew a little bit of kindness keeps him from blowing his top. you want his help, and youre not ignoring him

a/n: prepared this one in advance because i was sleepless at 10am when i checked my inbox lol. coming back to proofread it after i've slept to make sure it doesn't sound weird.

for the most part, he leaves you to your work.

he feels like he'd be a hypocrite if he called you out often because he's also pretty wrapped up in his own responsibilities.

however, he does notice when it gets to a certain point.

when your duties start to interfere badly with your sleep and eating habits, thats when he draws a line.

go to bed late for a night or two? thats okay. miss a full night of sleep or even multiple? absolutely not.

as soon as its enough to become apparent like eyebags, grogginess, and less efficiency than usual, he'll have a word with you.

you're fixing an issue with the trains one day, visibly fatigued. you've been staying up too late helping around gardenview to keep things running, with no regard for your own health.

you maneuver something the wrong way in your haziness, triggering an unpleasant noise from the train. Dyle's been keeping an eye on you for a while now, waiting for the opportunity to bring up your concerning state.

he makes his way closer, chain carefully held up, and leans over your lowered form as if he's checking for damages.

"My dear, are you sure you're in a proper position to be doing repairs?"

you wave him off, reaching for one of your tools to hopefully aid in reversing your mistake.

"I'm alright Dyle, just a small slip up."

he turns over one of the links on his chain, a habit when he's pondering his next step.

"You know you're a terrible liar. you should get some rest, reparations can wait."

You spare him a glance, once again turning back to your work. you knew he was sort of correct- but you were keen on getting as much done as possible.

"It's nothing you should be concerned about, just let me finish up here."

his eye twitched in slight irritation at your stubbornness. you hear a metallic sound before you're being forcibly removed from your place.

you quickly realize the sound was his chain hitting the floor, because he's picked you up from your spot with both arms. you hear the slight scraping noise behind him as he walks you back to your bedroom.

once there, he lays you down and tells you to take a nap. the others will understand the delay.

hes kind of cold... and sticky... and wet.. im sure if he leaves ink footsteps hes going to leave stains as you cuddle... so hopefully you dont mind being a bit of a mess during and after cuddling- or really most physical affection

he... doesnt actually like cuddling all that much because of this. its such a hassle and he likes being a show off about his love in other ways- of course he is! he looooves making a performance of things when its things he feels like matter a lot to him!

on the chance you guys do cuddle he can go either way about being big or little spoon

BOXTEN

hes such an awkward cuddler... where does he put his hands? is this okay? youre not uncomfortable when he holds you like this- or this- or-... it takes him a minute to get comfortable and find something that works for the both of you

he actually does like cuddling you despite all the squirming, its just that he doesnt know how to play it cool long enough for you guys to really get into it. give him some time and with experience he'll become more confident with this!

he actually prefers being little spoon but he feels a certain pressure to be big spoon... please let him know he can be little spoon whenever he wants

COSMO

soft and fluffy- just like a real cake. sometimes you leave indents on him... sometimes watching them slowly puff back into place is nice, its satisfying in its own way. he also smells nice too! overall a nice experience overall!

he doesnt much care for the big/little spoon way of cuddling, whatever position you guys take in bed that leaves you both in close proximity works for him! lay on him- or let him lay on you.. smoosh into each others sides- get creative with it if you must!

sometimes his icing drizzle makes you all sticky though :(

FINN

cuddling with him can be a little awkward... hes made of glass and his head is full of water- you cant really fully lay down and huddle into him without the risk of getting wet

usually you guys cuddle while sitting or otherwise propped up- not always the most comfortable but hey- you guys dont really have much of a choice otherwise

kind of cold to the touch too thanks to the water and glass but hes got a few blankets to try to warm himself up for you! he can go either way about being big or little spoon.... and hes not ashamed to ask to be held!

GLISTEN

hes cold and hard- mirror stuff, hes... admittedly not the most comfortable... and hes somewhat (very) insecure about it... but you guys have managed to find work arounds! covers and blankets- give him a nice robe to lounge around in and hes going to be obsessed!

he tends to prefer being little spoon, but he tries to be big spoon for you more often than not- something about wanting to please you... but once those walls are let down and he allows himself to be more honest about how hes feeling and thinking around you he melts right into your arms

definitely pouts when you need to get up to do something mid cuddle- hes only mildly upset in reality

GOOB

well he loves hugging.. and whats cuddling if not an extended hug? of course hes going to cling onto you the moment you bring it up- and a lot of times you dont even need to open your mouth.. just gotta pat the bed and hes sprinting towards you

wraps his arms all up around you to keep you as close as possible- the whole big/little spoon thing doesnt really cross his mind, he just wants you as close as possible in the moment! sometimes his claws kind of sink into you... not enough to hurt or break the skin but hes definitely accidentally poked you

nice and fluffy and warm, sometimes its like snuggling into a blanket fresh from the dryer... you could stay like this forever!

he prefers to be big spoon, something about holding you and keeping you so close to him is... nice and comforting. he gets the horary "tends to put himself between you and the door as a subconscious barrier to protect you in case of anything,"... not that he thinks theres any danger around, its habit really

he smells like bitter coffee though so hopefully you dont mind that too much- sometimes getting him into bed to come cuddle you can be a fight too since he has a habit of getting really sucked into his cases.. hes determined and bordering on obsessive

he also occasionally likes having you simply laying across his chest

SHRIMPO

he burns hot. on the rare chance he actually lets you cuddle with him hes going to be uncomfortably warm and its... overall not a good time... hes kind of sweaty too and smells like... well shrimp...

he doesnt really like cuddling that much though- he kind of shakes and seethes quietly the whole time... at least its an upgrade from how hed just push you away and go off on you?
