The Himalayan is the National bird of Nepal, where it is  known as the Danfe, and the state bird of Uttarakhand. These birds show tolerance to snow and have been observed to dig  through snow for roots, tubers and other plant parts, and invertebrates.  Seen in pairs during the breeding season (April to August), they form  large coveys and involve in communal roosting during the winter. The  population of this species in most of its range is threatened due to  poaching and other anthropogenic factors. The male monal has been under  heavy hunting pressure for its crest feather, which was used for  ornament hats of Himachal men, until 1982 when legal hunting was banned  in the state.

The bird from “UP” In the 2009 Disney-Pixar Film “Up,”  the large flightless tropical bird “Kevin” (actually a female in the movie) is based upon a male Himalayan Monal found at the Sacramento Zoo. The bird, named “Genghis,” sadly, has since died.

Empresas que não emitem Nota Fiscal Eletrônica poderão escriturar o DANFE sem a consulta da NFe?

Esta é uma dúvida comum em empresas que ainda não emitem a NFe. É possível escriturar o DANFE sem a consulta da Nota Fiscal Eletrônica?

Vale lembrar que o DANFE é mera representação gráfica da Nota Fiscal Eletrônica e não se confunde com a mesma. Aos contribuintes que não estão preparados para recepcionar a Nota Fiscal Eletrônica é facultado proceder a escrituração da NFe com base nas informações contidas no DANFE e manter o DANFE em arquivo em substituição à Nota Fiscal Eletrônica.

No entanto, a obrigação de verificar a validade da assinatura digital, a autenticidade da Nofa Fiscal Eletrônica e a existência de Autorização de uso da Nota Fiscal Eletrônica se aplica a todos os destinatários, sejam eles credenciados a emitir a NFe ou não, tratando-se de uma segurança adicional ao destinatário.

Como fazer a emissão do DANFE

Para quem está iniciando no setor fiscal, algumas dúvidas básicas podem aparecer no decorrer do trabalho. Para lhe ajudar, preparamos uma resposta objetiva para a emissão do DANFE. Veja nas linhas abaixo:

O ideal é que o DANFE seja impresso pelo mesmo sistema gerador da Nota Fiscal Eletrônica. Isso é recomendado para que não ocorra nenhuma divergência entre o DANFE e a NFe. Vale lembrar que não pode haver qualquer divergência entre a Nota Fiscal Eletrônica e sua representação gráfica.

O DANFE pode ser impresso em qualquer tipo de papel?

Em geral, o DANFE deve ser impresso em papel comum, exceto papel jornal, no tamanho mínimo A4 e no máximo ofício 2.

Já a segurança do sistema não é relativa ao DANFE em si, mas da NFe a que ele se refere. A chave informada no DANFE é que permitirá verificar se aquela operação está ou não devidamente documentada por documento fiscal hábil.
