How did Seren get her so flustered? Nobody- nothing made her jumble her words like that.

“Dad is- dad is my other- you know. The head of House Gardios. Anyway... you look good. I think you can handle this without me now.” So much for making Celes jealous. He would probably laugh if he saw her now.

“Yes, your daddy did tell me. You know, the Curtiss family has a long history of going into the military. It might just suit you; but you’d have to ask daddy if you can go to the military academy first. It’s a lot of really hard work.” Even if she didn’t quite understand him, even Seren could see the passion and pride when he spoke of their family history. 

“So first thing, now, Grandpa’s old, but I’m going to make sure you get the education your bight little mind deserves. Come sit down. You like hot cocoa?”
