Midsommar SFW Regression Headcanons!

Dani finds it hard to regress, especially around other people. When she does, it's usually somewhat involuntary, and triggered by a feeling of safety with someone else.

While regressed, she loves to spend time with other people, especially through showing them things she finds comfort in.

She'll often bring little gifts to whoever is taking care of her, like little flowers or trinkets she found.

Her experience while regressed depends on the reason that caused it- if she regressed out of fear or trauma, she is often seeking comfort, whereas other times she wants to spend time with whoever she's with.

She's typically very anxious well regressed, and won't stay in the headspace long for fear or being annoying or bothering others.

Pelle will rarely allow himself to regress, but when he does, he often seeks out things he remembers from his childhood.

He feels and intense connection to nature and often goes outside, laying beneath the trees or in the grass.

He loves the stars, and often misses them while with Hårga after having experiences them at college.

He will often regress around Dani, as she feels safe to him and he trusts her to keep him safe.

Connie is super affectionate while regressed. She's careful only to do so around people she knows will be okay with her clingyness.

She trusts easily, so she finds it fairly easy to regress when she needs it.

She loves finding accesories and various items to go with her outfits, and matching ones for the people around her.

She also loves animals, if she's around anyone with a dog or a cat she'll spend all of her time petting them.

Simon didn't start regressing until he was in college, but found it helpful to destress and cope with a lot of things.

He learned a lot of different things from Connie once they started dating, and he's very grateful to her for teaching him about it.

He loves bright colors, especially blues and oranges.

He has several comfort foods which he always seeks out when he's regressed, it helps him to relax.

Maja mainly regresses due to trauma, especially after the events of the movie.

There's very few people she'll trust during her regressions, but the people she does trust she'll very close with.

She loves to explore, looking for new areas or murals she hasn't seen before. There's always something new from Hårga culture that she hasn't learned about yet.

When she's not exploring, she typically stays in her room, finding comfort in her familiar blankets and enviornment.

Karin loves to read and look at pictures while regressed. Flowers especially, she loves tracing the different petals and shapes. She also loves it when other people read to her, if they're willing.

She'lll only speak Swedish while regressed, it's her native language and she feels comforted by it.

She loves plushies and soft items, and has a small handmade plush that she keeps close to her.

Like the other Hårga, she has a strong connection to nature, and Karin particularly likes insects. She'll look for them outside and hold them gently in her hands. If anything happens to an insect while she's small it's very upsetting for her.

She loves to draw even though she isn't particulary artisticly inclined, and prefers simple patterns with lots of colors.

Pelle is almost impossible to fluster outwardly, though he feels things intensely.

He Is patient when teaching you something.

He doesn't tease often, but when he does, it's incredibly subtle.

Pelle smiles whenever he hears bees nearby because he associates them with summer.

He's fascinated by old family photographs.

He loves long periods of silence with someone he likes.

He always sits beside you at meals without asking if the seat is taken.

If the seat is already taken, he sits across. And when You catch him looking at you. He doesn't look away. He smiles faintly and continues eating.

Pelle teaches you a Swedish word every day until you start surprising him by remembering all of them.

He picks flowers based on what reminds him of you rather than what looks prettiest.

Pelle keeps little pressed flowers between the pages of sketchbooks.

If you complain about cold hands, he'll hold them between both of his until they're warm, carrying on the conversation like it's the most normal thing in the world.

He learns your routines quickly. If you always read before bed, he'll make sure no one interrupts you.

On chilly mornings, he'd wordlessly drape a blanket over your shoulders while you're still half asleep.

If you lose something, he'll help you look without making you feel careless.
