The Gospel Daily - The Perfect Rescue

Today's Verse: “He delivers and rescues, He works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth; for He has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” - Daniel 6:27 (NRSV)
Have you ever been treated unjustly or unfairly because you are a Christian? Jesus warned us we will experience persecution for His sake. Being oppressed and discriminated against for our faith is real and serious. Daniel and his companions were persecuted for their beliefs, and they were all set-up by their own colleagues to die! His companions were tied and thrown into a blazing furnace (Daniel 3:20-23). Daniel himself was cast into a den of lions to be eaten alive. Yet not one of them were harmed, not even a scratch. We must engrave in our hearts and minds that God will never leave or forsake us. He will save us from impossible situations and turn those situations around for His glory. Turning non-believers into believers in the process, and no circumstance is too great for Him to overcome. Put your trust in God, for He delivers and rescues.
Today's Prayer: Heavenly Father, we give You all glory, honor and praise. We humbly ask that all Christians who are facing persecution right now be given strength, wisdom and hope. We hold steadfast to Your promises to never leave us and never forsake us, and to rescue us from all evil. In Jesus’ powerful Name, we pray. Amen.
