*One morning at the Egbert residence, where Aradia, Vriska, Nepeta, Karkat, Tavros and Rosali are all sitting on the porch in the backyard and sipping on mimosas together, while their kids are all playing together*
Vriska:*laughing, clearly in the middle of telling a story* So the asshole tries to cut me off in traffic, right? Well, we reach a stoplight, I end up next to his car, he doesn't even notice I'm there..... And then, just to fuck with him, I slammed my fist on the horn and scared the hell out of him, and I just left it blaring like that until the light turned green and I sped past him. I'm sure he'll fucking think twice now before being an asshole on the road :::;)
Karkat:*scoffs, rolling his eyes* God knows we need less of those to be allowed to drive.... *sips his drink*
*In the backyard, the group all hear the familiar tone of someone, specifically Anne, saying "Puuuuuuuupa~", very similar to how Vriska would often say "Taaaaaaaavros~", back when they were just kids themselves*
Tavros:*immediately getting war flashbacks, which can be seen in the look in his eyes alone*..........*slowly looks out where all the kids are playing, seeing Anne and Pupa standing near the slide*
Anne;*staring down at the smaller snd younger boy with a scheming grin on her face* Puuuuuuuupa~ ::::) I dare you to do a back flip off the slide and onto the ground!
Pupa: 0^0......*looks between Anne and the slide a few times*
Anne: Its fun, and totally safe! Nick tried it recently, you should totally try it too! ::::) I could even help you with my powers!
Pupa:............ ^v^ Okay~ *immediately goes to climb up the slide*
*As war flashbacks rage on in Tavros' head, he immediately gets up from his seat, runs towards the slide, and just as soon as Pupa gets to the top of the slide, he picks up his son and holds him close*
Anne: ?????? What the heck, uncle Tavros???? I was going to help him do a back flip!
*For a moment, Tavros just stares down at the little cerulean blooded girl, who already takes so much after Vriska, whereas Nick takes mostly after John........ he and Vriska weren't much older than her when Vriska had used her own powers to make Tavros jump off a cliff, causing him to be paralyzed for almost a whole sweep, and while Tavros doesn't want to accuse Anne of such intentions, especially considering how much he and Vriska grew as people over the years thanks to Sburb, the memories still remain implanted in his psyche...... That, and of course, there's his protective maternal instinct keeping him on alert when it comes to his child being in dangerous situations*
Tavros: Its....... too dangerous for that, especially off a tall slide like this, okay? No back flips of any kind. Just..... slide down the slide like normal, okay, kids? Here, like this, *places Pupa on the slide, gently and carefully letting him slide down it to the ground*
Anne:*sighs, rolling her eyes* Fine....... You're no fun, uncle.
Tavros: Believe me, Anne...... One day, when you're old enough to know some things, you'll be grateful i stepped in.
Anne: Yeah, whatever....... ::::) Hey, Nalaaaaaaaa~ Whatcha playing?
Nala: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *hisses and immediately scurries away, going to her sisters for protection*
Nepeta:.......... Vriska. You need to do something about your daughter.
Vriska: What???? She's not hurting anyone! Look, I know what went through Tavros' head just now, and he's totally overreacting! Maybe Anne really did want to help him do a back flip!
Karkat: 7 and 8 year olds don't need to be doing backflips off a fucking slide, you dumbass! That's how you end up in a wheelchair, or did you forget??
Vriska:......... Damn, Karkat. Way to bring up shit that happened when we were kids.
Nepeta: It's not just that! You know Nala is constantly getting bullied at school by YOUR daughter! The only reason I agreed to even come to this get-together today and bring my daughters is because Nala likes Nick so much.......
Rosali:.......... I know this is to be expected with children, but Vriska..... Anne does take a lot after how you were when we were kids.....
Aradia:........... I just hope Anne doesn't try to mind control anyone to go after Lummen, and end up turning him into a ghost like what happened to me at one point. *sips her mimosa*
Vriska:........... Even after you came back as a God Tier when we were 6 sweeps old, you're never gonna let me live that down, are you?
Aradia; Considering that what happened was partially the reason for Sollux's depression and alcoholism back when Sburb was still going on? No, I don't think I will.
Vriska:............ Fair enough. *sips her mimosa too* Look, in my defense, I'm raising my kids to look out for themselves and not be afraid to stand up to others. To let people know not to fuck with them, okay? Guess a little Serket charm got added to that parenting style, considering what a little badass my little Anne already is :::;)
Nepeta:.............. It would be really helpful if your "little badass" would leave my daughter alone.
Vriska: Look, I'll talk to Anne again about it later, okay? Just let our little Gremlins be Gremlins while we're all here.
Tavros;*as he's sitting back down with everyone*........ Most "Gremlins", if we're referring to our children, don't destroy half the city's property by speaking into multiple megaphones at a time and destroying all the glass, costing the city god only knows how much in damages...... You realize Pupa has already lost all hearing in his right ear from that alone?
Vriska:................ I already grounded her for a month for that, Tavros. It's not my fault you signed that permission slip to let Pupa go on that field trip.
Tavros:*already having downed the rest of his mimosa*............ You know what? This was fun and all, but I think Pupa and I are gonna go. *stands up again, already tipsy from his drink*..... Shit...... where's my phone so I can call Gamzee? I can't drive like this..... *searches for his phone*
Rosali: Oh, it's okay, Tavros, I can drive you! Let me go get Serenity, Daniel and Pupa first--
Vriska: ANNE EGBERT! GET OFF THE DAMN SHED! AND DON'T DRAG DANIEL UP THERE WITH YOU TOO!
*The adults in the group all immediately look to the garden shed, where once again, Anne is climbing up top...... but this time, she's holding on to the end of Daniel's scarf, where he's dangling from the other end with it wrapped around his neck, Anne not seeming to notice that she's strangling Daniel*
Rosali; !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANIEL! *immediately runs over to help her son, untying his scarf and saving him, as Daniel starts to gasp for air, kneeling down to his level and placing her hands on his shoulders* Daniel, are you okay??
Daniel:............ I tried to say no, mom....... Q^Q But she wouldn't take no for an answer and tried to drag me up........... and I couldn't breathe.......
Serenity;*runs over and glares at Anne, pointing to her* YOU ALMOST KILLED MY BROTHER, YOU PSYCHO!
Anne: I was trying to lift him up here, idiot! Who even wears a scarf during summer????????
Rosali:.......... Daniel, Serenity, lets go find Pupa, okay? Uncle Tavros needs a ride home, and we're going home afterwards too.
Anne; What????? *looks to the porch* Mama! You said you used to strangle uncle Eridan all the time when he was your kismesis! Why is it so wrong when I do it?????
