DANIEL BAILEY
What then to do about this Jesus-mania? How do we deal with a carpenter king? Where do we start with a man who is bigger Than John was when John did his baptism thing? Fools, you have no perception! The stakes we are gambling are frighteningly high! We must crush him completely, So like John before him, this Jesus must die. For the sake of the nation, this Jesus must die.
THERE IS THE TACO BELL WHERE YOU MET THE PERSON YOU LOVE
AND THE DEL TACO WHERE YOU MET THE PERSON YOU HATE
AND THEY ARE ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE TOWN

What then to do about Jesus of Nazareth? Miracle wonderman, hero of fools. No riots, no army, no fighting, no slogans. One thing I'll say for him -- Jesus is cool. We dare not leave him to his own devices. His half-witted fans will get out of control. But how can we stop him? His glamour increases By leaps every moment; he's top of the poll.
MY FAVORITE POETRY OF 2021 (Prologue) This past fall semester I taught the most I ever have (five days a week, split between two campuses). Surprisingly, I didn’t go to the wrong school once! This schedule took away my writing day, but I was still able to carve out time to write. I think Cate Marvin said in an interview once that the world doesn’t want you to write, that to write is to resist against the capitalist spin of the world.
Personally, this was a good year for me publication-wise. My chapbook, Small Town, was published by The Magnificent Field. I had two poems published as part of two different anthologies: The Little Black Book of Bedfellows and Belt Publishing’s The Indianapolis Anthology.Additionally, I had 15 poems published across ten different journals.
As always, these books are just my favorite, not a best-of list. There are many I didn’t have the time to read and look forward to reading in the future.
